A Lifetime of Loving Dogs
Hi, I’m Jieun! My love for dogs started when I was 9, when my family adopted a sweet Maltese girl named Klao. She was the youngest “daughter” in our home, and we were lucky to share 17 beautiful years with her. After her passing, we weren’t sure we could open our hearts again—until Roy came along, another joyful Maltese full of energy, cuddles, and curiosity. A few years later, my dad rescued a street dog while fishing in Korea. We named her Suni. She had a strong spirit, recovered from heartworm, and became a beloved part of our family (even if Roy got a little jealous of the extra attention she got!). Saying goodbye to Roy and Suni when I moved to NYC was one of the hardest parts of leaving home. Now living in Long Island City with my partner, I continue to care for friends’ and coworkers’ dogs—going on walks around Gantry Plaza, giving cuddles, and sharing quiet moments that only dogs can give. I have experience with senior dogs, rescues, and dogs who need a little extra love or patience. Every dog I meet reminds me of the deep bond and joy they bring, and I treat them like my own. I’d love the chance to care for your pup and give them the love, attention, and fun they deserve while you're away!

Jieun has cared for my dog, Mochi, a couple of times now. Mochi is always excited to see Jieun, and Mochi’s been happy and healthy in her care. Jieun is very accommodating and communicative and I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking care for their pet!
Jieun took great care of Caramel! She sent regular updates throughout his stay and kept me informed about how he was doing, which gave me great peace of mind. She was friendly, communicative, and easy to work with. I would definitely book with her again.

Jieun and Carey took an amazing care of Dexter. They are very good at keeping me posted with Dexter’s status. I can tell Dexter was having an amazing stay with them while I am out. I would definitely recommend them to all the dog parents I know around LIC.

Schedule
I currently work full-time as a nurse practitioner in Long Island City, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM. This means I’m available for morning walks before work and evening visits or walks after work. I’m also flexible on weekends and holidays, which is perfect for overnight stays, longer walks, or drop-in visits. Since I live and work locally, I can quickly check in on pets nearby, and I’m committed to making sure your dog feels cared for, even during a busy day.

Whether I’m caring for your dog in your home or stopping by for walks and check-ins, I always prioritize a calm, safe, and loving environment. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and any special needs—like medication, separation anxiety, or sensitivity to other dogs. I follow your instructions carefully and maintain consistent communication with updates and photos, so you always know how your pup is doing. When walking dogs, I use secure harnesses/leashes and avoid crowded or overstimulating areas unless requested. If your dog stays in my apartment, rest assured they’ll have a clean, cozy, and spacious space to relax. I live in Long Island City near Gantry Park, so we enjoy peaceful walks by the water with plenty of fresh air and safe paths.
A typical day
Each day starts with a gentle good morning, a potty break, and a nice walk. Especially, we’re near Gantry Park, a quiet green space. I love giving dogs time to sniff, explore, and enjoy the outdoors at their own pace. After our walk, there’s breakfast time, fresh water, and of course, lots of affection. For dogs that love company, I make sure to keep them close, talk to them gently, and help them feel at ease while you're away. Evening routines usually include another walk, dinner, and winding down with cozy time—whether that means belly rubs, brushing, or curling up for a little movie time (dog shows included!). I try to keep each pet’s routine as close to home as possible to make them feel safe and loved.
