Your Pet’s Home Away From Home

I’ve cared for many dogs and cats over the years — from shy companions to energetic adventurers and big dogs who need confident handling. I’m a regular hiker and backpacker, so I’m calm, steady, and comfortable with long walks and high‑energy pups. Pets in my home are treated like family. They’re never confined and can roam, explore, nap wherever they like, or follow me around the house. I host one household at a time, giving your pet a peaceful, low‑stress environment and my full attention.

Dog Walking • May 20, 2026

Jie is not a punctual dog walker, often times showing up well after the agreed upon time. She forgot entirely one time and when I finally caught up to her, she asked if I "still wanted her to come". I was quite disappointed in her level of communication and care. When I shared that Ginger wasn't feeling well and if she could get to the house as soon as possible (walk scheduled for 10am and Jie acknowledged it wasn't too early), Jie replied that she had "just woke up" (at 10:19am) and needed to have her coffee before coming to walk Ginger. Overall, very disappointed.

Lex, our GSD, enjoyed his home away from home while we were away. I received regular updates of his happy boy antics, which were greatly appreciated.

Jie did such a wonderful job caring for my very large dog for two weeks! She always gave him lots of love, attention, and exercise every day! She is extremely organized, reliable, dependable, and sent me pictures and videos every day showing what a great time my dog was having without me lol. She is excellent with all dogs no matter how big or small (she had no trouble at all walking my giant 120lb Alaskan Malamute). It is very difficult to find someone you can trust to take care of your most loved ones while you are not able to, and I am extremely grateful I found her! I would not hesitate to call her again, and HIGHLY recommend her to take care of your pets.

Schedule

Hi! I’m a longtime animal lover who’s discovered how joyful it is to spend time with pets without needing to own one. I’m physically strong, a regular hiker and backpacker, and I genuinely enjoy the movement and connection that come with dog walking. I’m not in this for the money — I simply love being around animals. I travel often and prefer not to put a pet through separation stress, so Rover is the perfect fit: I get to care for your furry family members and bring a little joy to their day while keeping my lifestyle flexible.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s comfort and safety come first. My home is clean, pet‑friendly, and has a fully fenced big backyard for safe outdoor time. Inside, pets can settle wherever they feel comfortable. Because I host pets in my personal home, I require pets who are reliable indoors. If your dog or cat has a history of accidents or marking in new places, my home may not be the best match. 😂 Accident Cleaning Fee: Small oopsies on LVP → no charge. Carpet accidents requiring enzyme treatment + Bissell Big Green commercial shampooing → $150 per area. Severe accidents requiring professional steaming → additional charges with receipts 🗓️ Pet Care Policies: All bookings are confirmed only after a meet & greet. This ensures a good fit and helps me understand your pet’s routine and needs. 🐕‍🦺 Dog Walk: Weekly recurring walks only, no one‑time walks, because consistency builds trust and routine. Walks are done within a one‑hour window around the requested time to allow for traffic, weather, and daily variations. If you ever need a precise start time, just let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to accommodate. 🏠 Boarding: For new boarding clients, I require a minimum 3‑night stay to ensure a smooth transition, comfort for the dog, and minimal turbulence to my schedule. ⏰ Drop‑off/Pick‑up Window: 9 AM–9 PM. 🐾 Safety & Behavior Check: Dogs — reactivity, resource guarding, barking/lunging, escape attempts (bolting, door‑darting, fence‑jumping). Cats — surprise biting or scratching during petting/play.

A typical day

Walks are tailored to your dog’s energy — from relaxed neighborhood loops to longer adventures. Between walks, dogs can enjoy anytime backyard play in my fenced yard. Inside, pets can roam freely, nap wherever they like, or hang out with me throughout the day. Cats get calm, attentive care based on their mood — playful, cuddly, or independent. I host one household at a time, so your pet gets a peaceful, predictable environment and plenty of attention.

To make sure we’re a great fit, I appreciate knowing: Behavior history — reactivity, guarding, barking/lunging, escape attempts. Indoor habits — accidents, marking, stress behaviors. Daily routine — feeding, walks, sleep, comfort items. Energy level — mellow, active, or in‑between. Medical needs — allergies, meds, mobility. Cat quirks — overstimulation, biting/scratching triggers. Social style — shy, selective, outgoing. The more I know, the smoother their stay.
