Hi! My name is Jhechel, but most people call me Kacey, which is my middle name. I have a medium-sized puppy named April. She came from a shelter, and although we’re not exactly sure what breed she is, we do know that she is incredibly loving, sweet, and affectionate. I live in a single-family home with a fenced-in front yard, which gives April plenty of space to enjoy. I have been working with dogs for the past three years and have experience caring for and training dogs of different ages, personalities, and needs. I have a three-year-old dog of my own, whom I have been training since she was about four months old. April had a very difficult life before my family and I adopted her. She experienced abuse at a young age, which caused her to develop severe anxiety, especially around other dogs and men. It took months of patience, consistency, hard work, and lots of love to help her become more comfortable and confident. Seeing how far she has come has been incredibly rewarding, and it has taught me a lot about working with dogs who need extra patience and understanding. I also have experience caring for senior dogs. My family took in a senior dog named Bailey who was around 10 years old and suffered from severe cataracts, as well as pain and stress related to her age. Bailey had difficulty getting along with other dogs, but she and April became very close. April was extremely patient and gentle with her, and their bond helped improve Bailey’s mood and overall well-being. Bailey had also been a stray and had been missing from her previous home for about a week before coming to us. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to train, care for, and look after many puppies and dogs. Working with animals is something I genuinely love, and it brings me so much joy. I especially enjoy helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved, no matter their age, background, or personality.
