I stay home full time with my 2 and 7 year old sons of whom I homeschool. Since I am able to have full control of my schedule, I do my best to be as flexible as possible according to each clients needs. I typically like to schedule drop ins in the mornings or evenings during the week or any time on the weekends while my husband is at home so I can come to drop ins child- free. But if you don’t mind my strictly supervised children to come along, then I can accommodate any time of day.

I always am very diligent at ensuring pets can’t run out when I am coming in and out of the house. And I always provide lots of lovings and pets- to those animals who want that anyway! As for the shy pets, I always take my time in making them feel comfortable. I also never leave a house dirtier than I find it, almost always cleaner even, always cleaning up after the animals as thoroughly as possible.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs and I am happy to accommodate. I would also like to be informed of any relevant medical or behavioral history that has the potential to recur during the stay.

I love being able to play with the animals I drop in on and just really focus on having our time together be as productive and beneficial for them as I can! By making sure they get extra energy out by playing, or if they just need extra cuddles or treats! For pets that are more reserved, I like to take my time trying to coax them out of their shell so they feel more comfortable and less stressed. I often carry feliway spray (a pheromone spray that helps calm cats) and catnip (with permission of course) in aiding stressed cats specifically.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
Throughout my life, I’ve had the honor of raising, caring for and loving many animals. I am confident in my experience and ability with both elderly and special needs dogs and cats including medication administration. This includes, but is not limited to: oral medications, eye drops, ear drops, vaccinations and subcutaneous medications, as well as the administration of subcutaneous fluids. Senior animals and cats specifically have seemed to become my specialty, but I am not limited to them. I am happy to care for any and all other animals (fish, small animals, reptiles, birds, farm animals, etc.) Along with the dogs and cats I’ve had, I also have had the joy of raising goats, rabbits, snakes, turtles, chickens, birds, and rats along with experience when I was young interning at a horse ranch. I currently have 3 cats of whom I adore, and a thriving fish tank with Cory’s and Tetras and frogs. Not to mention, I have many plants as well and I am happy to water any plants as needed free of charge. Prior to having my most recent baby, I was a Kennel Attendant at the Humane Society where I gained experience in handling dogs and cats, and being able to observe and understand their well being both physically and emotionally on a daily basis. Based on these vital observations, I was in charge of ensuring that each animal got what they needed; whether that was changing their diet, adding a supplement, implementing more de-stressing activities or toys, or prescribing and dosing any basic medications needed to help each individual animal. This was a tremendous learning experience for me that I have carried with me. I use these observational skills daily with my own cats and every animal I come across. I am vigilant in noting even the slightest concern or change, and will always notify pet parents promptly of everything. I absolutely love being able to do this job, and caring for all these wonderful pets everyday, I look forward to meeting all my future animal loves!!!
Reseñas

Jewel is the best! Our pups love her and she always goes above and beyond. Highly recommend! We feel great know in that Jewel is watching our dogs and our house!

Jewel is great. Super flexible and communicative, always takes very good care of our two cats.

Jewel took amazing care of my cat while I was on vacation. In addition to all the basics, she gave him lots of attention so he wouldn't feel too lonely while I was gone. She provided lots of updates and photos, which I really appreciated.

Jewel has taken care of our cats three times and I've been very happy. She is conscientious and professional and does little extra things that I really appreciate - she brought her own laser pointer to get the cats moving. I recommend her.
