Pet care experience

Responsible, loving and qualified pet care

My whole life I have grown up around and cared for all kinds of animals, and always had a very special gentle connection with them. I have an extended diploma in animal management, and plenty of personal experience caring for animals of all ages - especially elderly care of dogs. Currently I have my own 3 year old rescue dog Lady from Cyprus, and an 8 year old cat Zazu who’s been with me his whole life, caring for them is my passion!

Dog Walking • Oct 16, 2023

Jessie made the effort to come round and meet Barney ahead of their first walk together. She immediately connected with him. It is clear she is a natural with dogs. She took an interest in getting to know him and ask lots of appropriate questions about his nature, habits, likes and dislikes etc- this made me feel really at ease. When Jessie took Barney for a walk she sent me videos and pictures and gave feedback on how he’d got on. Barney had been a bit nervous about getting in a new car and Jessie even offered to take the time to do a few extra visits to help train him with this. She has a calm and intuitive way that fills me with confidence- I am very happy for her to walk Barney on a regular basis. Thanks Jessie! 😊

Schedule

I work part time at the beginning of the week, but will be free for drop-in’s and walks most Thursday’s-Sunday’s. I walk my dog for 2-3 hours daily when I’m not working, so if your dog is happy in the company of others then there is also the option for them to join us rather than a solo walk!

I have experience dealing with dogs with resource guarding and reactivity, however I would expect owners to be actively working on this in training with a behaviourist as it’s not acceptable to not address this behaviour once it presents itself. However, difficult dogs still need care and deserve play time, and there are many tools/precautions we can take like hiring private fields etc to safely exercise dogs who have these issues.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
