I will always treat your pet as if they were my own. I respect your routine and home (if applicable). Being away from their owners can be hard on pets and I try and make that separation be the best it can be. I can’t be you, but I will be the best substitute I can. I genuinely want the best for your pet! I also love to send folks pics of their pet to assure them they are safe and being cared for! I typically send a text in the evening with an update of how your pet is doing and photos from the day. I have found that this lets you know your pet is in good hands, but lets you enjoy yourself on your vacation/travel. If you would prefer texts throughout the day just let me know I am happy to update at your chosen frequency.

Information Jessie W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any specific needs or restrictions. For House sitting: I have my own air mattress, if needed. For Boarding: I live in an apartment, while it is a quiet building there is sometimes the sounds of people in the hallways. If your dog barks a lot, I may not be the best fit. Pets are allowed on the furniture and we have sheets/blankets for shedding. In general pets are not allowed in the bed, but exceptions have been made based on size/shedding. I look forward to have a safe and great time with them!
A typical day
I love going for walks and live near a river walk and ample parks. It is important for dogs to have enrichment everyday and a way for them release their energy! I know from experience how important enrichment and routine is to animals so I do my best to stick to their regular routine, but give them a little extra attention as they will be missing you!

Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for many years, and started using Rover last year when I lost my tuxedo cat named Taco and a 17-year-old dog, Pudge (Shih Tzu/Cocker spaniel mix). I grew up with Rottweilers and have experience with the majority of breeds. I have been involved in ASPCA rescues and have spent some holidays caring for 269 dogs! Mainly pitbulls from dogfighting cases, but also varying size dogs from hoarding cases (collies, Great Danes, Yorkies, Terriers, etc.) I also have experience caring for rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and farm animals. Any animal, almost any temper, I can handle. Additionally, my sister is a veterinarian, so minor questions or concerns can be addressed anytime.

Reviews

I always trust Jessie with my cat Sheldon. She is communicative and reliable and I always feel safe leaving him in her care.

We had a huge flight delay and she was so patient about it and took great care of our kids. One of them had a few poop accidents in the house. She kept us updated, cleaned it up and listened to our instructions! We know our kids will always be taken great care of with Jessie!! The kids can’t wait for her to come back!

Jessie was absolutely wonderful! She stayed in our home for nearly three weeks and took amazing care of both our dog and cat. Our pets can take a little time to warm up to new people, but they clearly loved her. Jessie sent daily updates and photos, was super responsive, and took our dog on great walks. She left the house spotless and even changed the sheets in the guest room before we got back. When a smoke detector started beeping, she was able to troubleshoot it without issue. We felt totally at ease knowing our pets and home were in such good hands. We’d definitely have her back!

Jessie kept us updated with our 4 dogs. We never worried about them and she was quick to respond. This is the longest we ever left them and the farthest away we have been from them. She also kept the house clean and cleaned before we got home. It was such a nice surprise to have clean sheets after getting home. The kids really loved her and seemed happy and well cared for. Will definitely use her again!
