Pet care experience

outdoorsy dog lover

I'm an art history professor at the University of Chicago which means I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop in visits. I enjoy running and love taking active dogs for a jog around the neighborhood. I really love exploring the outdoors with my dogs, so if your pup is up for it, we'll go for a hike too! I've lived with dogs my entire life and have experience with very young pups to geriatrics and am comfortable administering medication. I have one smallish and one large dog at home and one cat, but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I also have experience with exotics and small animals and have cared for geckos, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas...even wildlife! I volunteer as a resident animal keeper at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center. I'm an all around animal lover, excited to meet your pets!

Jessie was great with my cats and even accommodated a last minute fish feeding request that I forgot to include! She was flexible and I felt very comfortable with her monitoring one of my cats that was under the weather.

Jessie is the best dog sitter we ever had as a family! Not only is she caring, responsible and trustworthy but she goes above and beyond what is expected. When she watched our family dog she visited multiple times a day, spent extra time playing and kept our pup company knowing she was missing her family. She also sent us updates. It was such a peace of mind having her take care of our dog and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter!

Jessie is an amazing pet sitter! She's taken care of my two cats, Blue and Ducky, several times. Blue is an anxious kitty and required special attention since he has FLUTD. Jessie will come to our apartment in the morning and at night to feed the kitties and give special love to them. She even checks the litter box to be sure that Blue peed and isn't feeling anxious. I am never worried when Jessie takes care of them! She even sends me photos of my babies, which eases the pain of bein away from them! If you're kitties need special attention or lots of love, Jessie is the sitter for you!!
