A typical day
When the dog is clearly active and in need of an outlet, I love to make the time to jog with them or just start walking if they are not used to running yet. We might play fetch outside before we attempt walking, so the dog associates walking as a chill experience. Basic commands may be brushed up, so the dog is familiar with me, especially after having anything physically exercising that the dog finds fulfilling. For a cat, expect social interaction, I have experience with even the shy ones. I let them play, on their terms, however that looks to them, from a laser pointer to a toy tied to a string. Some like their tummies touched, some don't. I am not one to test out the latter.
