Pet care experience
I'm a lifelong animal enthusiast. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses and other livestock as a result of growing up on a farm. I have also volunteered in shelter vet clinics and equine assisted therapy facilities. I often help out family, friends and neighbors with their pets, as does my daughter. I have experience with puppies and have taken my own dogs through obedience training.
Reviews
Jessica is very reliable, trustworthy, & flexible.
Jessica went above & beyond. I ended up not having to work, so Jessica helped me with training. My puppy is very big & not easy to handle yet, but Jessica gave is getting to know him & giving me the tools I need to train him well & get him used the other people & other dogs.
I’ve had Jessica come check in on my cat multiple times now! She’s super communicative & really cares about my little Petunia. She goes above & beyond providing great care & service! I highly recommend her!!
Jessica has lived on a farm and has been around large and small animals all of her life. She has a lot of animal knowledge. She is responsible, loving, and caring, and has taken care of the farm when we have had family emergencies, or been away on vacation. Jessica knows that pets are like kids to their owners. She feels the same about her own pets. She has taken in strays on occasion, some she has kept and some re-homed. I have no doubt she will do a great job for other pet owners.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, 6 foot tall, fully fenced back yard with plenty of shade. I have thoroughly checked the backyard for hazardous plants and obstacles as my own dogs spend time out there. My home is set up for my own animals. When checking on animals in the homes of others, I always check their water/food (if free feeding), observe their behavior to make sure they feel ok, clean up any messes, check for safety concerns and interact with them. When walking dogs, I keep a watchful eye for strays or off leash dogs. I also prefer to not let dogs in my care interact with unknown animals for everyone's safety. I am also able to help with loose leash walking and/or heal training.
Information Jessica W. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has special needs whether it be allergies, meds, etc . All food and meds should be provided with instructions. I prefer dogs that can be in a crate at night for safety as well as those who don't bark excessively as I do have neighbors.
A typical day
We would play in the backyard and/or walk in my neighborhood. There are a lot of fields to explore (on leash) nearby and I have access to a fenced in pond if my visitor enjoys water.

Availability
I am lucky to work 4 days on and 3 days off. I am available for boarding on off days, starting on Saturday after 5:30 pm. I can also check in on/ walk animals before work, during lunch breaks in some cases and after work. I live very rurally but work in Spokane so I can assist with animal transport.
