Dogs come first!
I realized that dogs come first in my life when a small dog that I was taking care of was curled up on my lap, which prevented me from pulling out the computer keyboard tray so I could work. Faced with the choice of continuing to work or keeping the dog on my lap, I chose the dog. I do my best to tune in to each dog's personality and needs and provide them with care and affection while making them feel secure in a new environment. Unfortunately, I am not equipped to take care of large (over 40 pounds) or highly active dogs.

Jessica has been so patient with my anxious dog, Daisy (and with Daisy's anxious person, me). We worked up to an overnight and it went well. I can tell Jessica really cares about dogs and makes sure they have a comfortable stay. We will be booking with her again and I won't hesitate to refer her to friends.
Jessica is very attentive and loving doesn't hesitate to go "beyond the call" in caring for her guests.
Our little cockapoo Odie had a great stay with Jessica! He felt at home with her right away. Jessica is a pleasure to work with for scheduling and care needs.

Schedule
I work part-time from home so unless I'm doing shopping or errands I'm usually here. If your dog enjoys riding in the car and the weather is OK, I might take him/her with me when I run errands; otherwise, it's rare they'll be left home alone for more than a few hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large deck that's completely fenced in. I allow dog guests to roam around the house and find the place where they feel most comfortable and safe - whether it's on the floor, couch, or bed. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your precious companions!
A typical day
I normally take my dog guests on one long-ish walk in the morning, a shorter walk in the late afternoon and a very brief walk in the evening before we go to bed. In addition, I leave the back door open so they can go outside on the deck whenever they want.
