Availability

I am a full time pet care provider, not working another job, just home all day focused on your pup! *With exception to errands or drop in visits. I offer daycare Mon-Thurs and boarding for repeat clients. Communication is super helpful to keep things running smoothly for everyone! For drop offs and pick ups I request a quick “ETA” text “I’m on my way! ETA 9:15am/About 15 minutes”. My preferred time frames for pick up and drop off are; 7-10:30am for drop off and 3:30-6pm for pickup, I am happy to chat about exceptions if needed.

Safety, trust & environment

I do not introduce dogs to my dog right away. I like to take time to get your pup comfortable and allow them to decompress in the new environment, allowing me to learn their specific body language before overwhelming them with a new dog. This process can take time depending on your dog, some are ready after part of a day, some need their whole stay. I ask clients to trust the process to help their pup learn to trust me and their environment. I can also provide a dog free house. Once ready, I work on integration with my dog slowly ensuring everyone’s in a calm and neutral state of mind. This process includes things like place work, shared decompression time, and eventually free play in my large fence yard. Reoccuring clients have the option to have their dog added into group daycare days as well.

Information Jessica W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any sensitivities behaviorally, resource guarding or reactivity, as well as any food allergies. Please send UTD vaccination records, updating regularly if booking reoccurring care with me. These can be sent via picture in rover or emailed directly to me from you or your vet. Rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvo, are all required core vaccines. The last three are usually under a DHP variant combo vaccine. Bordetella, Lyme, Lepto are not required but highly recommended. I trust that clients are keeping up with monthly flea/tick/heartworm. Instead of scheduling meet & greets, I instead ask clients to set up a discounted “trial day” daycare stay ahead of the initially requested dates, where we can chat before drop off. This allows me to get to know the dog and their body language to best gauge their personality and ensure a good fit. During stays, I provide a once daily update to clients with pictures, with the first day usually having 2-3 updates. Under no circumstances are people allowed to enter my home or enter past the fence. Please help me feel safe & secure in my home by not inviting yourself in.

A typical day

Dogs that come for daycare and boarding with me will have a day of living out their best life, getting to fulfill their innate biological need for mental and physical stimulation, while also teaching them how to relax in different environments. We spend the day with a loose routine, not adhering to times but instead rotating through activities. This includes: walks around the neighborhood or local trails for scent enrichment & swimming, positive training & puzzle games for feedings, lickimats/chews during individual crate/place mat/decompression time, one on one tug/fetch/play & affection, and freeplay yard time in the fenced yard. I work on tailoring activities to best match your pup’s interest to properly enrich and stimulate them for the day, let me know if there’s something you’re working on training that I can help implement during stays! With the help of some basic agility and body conditioning training equipment, a splashpad and a pool during season, I have a variety of games to try indoor or out, through bad weather and all!

Pet care experience

Looking for new weekly puppy daycare clients for basic foundation training! I offer daycare with individualized attention, training time and hiking adventures, hosting only 1 client family at a time. I specialize working with med - high drive/energy, med - x-large breeds, with a special interest in dog training and behavior. I focus on creating a structured day around neutrality and the ability to relax throughout a day packed with activities to meet each pup’s unique biological/personal needs. Utilizing a combination of mental and physical enrichment I’ve picked up over the years, dogs will learn basic life skills and how to settle and confidently be a good pet dog.

Jessica is great! She is a very attentive and experienced caregiver, and takes tons of pictures/videos so I can see what my dog was up to during the day. I can tell he has a great time with her and her dog. :)

Briar had a great stay again - he clearly had a fantastic time hanging out with his new Berner BFF's and was well-cared for while we were away! Thanks again :)

I can’t say enough good things about Jessica! My boy went to doggy daycare for the day, she was very communicative. She worked with him on some training and sent videos and pictures of him playing, resting and doing some training. She went above and beyond! My pup came home happy and tired out!

Jessica accommodated my puppy rather last minute, and he clearly had an enjoyable, enriched, structured time with her! Lots of pics and videos kept me at ease knowing he was in good hands while I was out of town.
