I’m currently off of work for the summer and have total flexibility to look after/walk your pups! When I am working during the school year, I have afternoons available to walk your dogs during the work week.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a wide variety of trails/walking spots I frequent in the local area, so your pup will always be enriched & happy! I always carry some kind of dog deterrent (PetSafe SprayShield or Pet Corrector) in case of emergency, and always engage in positive reinforcement training throughout walks. This looks like rewarding the dog(s) with treats when they check in with me, stay in a heel, or keep loose tension on the leash.
Information Jessica T. would like to know about your pet
If there’s anything in particular you want me to work on with your dog while out on walks (i.e. basic recall, loose leash walking, walking in a heel, etc) let me know! It’s also helpful to know if they’re a dog who jumps if you enter the home (no judgement!) or other behaviors that might arise while I’m in the home or out on a walk.
A typical day
With the dogs I walk, we love taking time to sniff as much as possible, or work on training during our adventures to engage their brain. If I stop into your home to let the dog out and play with them, I love to engage in tug games or fetch. I also like to provide some form of food enrichment such as a lick mat, pupsicle, or kong. And of course, they’ll always receive a snuggle :)

Pet care experience
I’ve been walking my family’s dogs for almost a decade now - a high energy Brittany spaniel as well as a husky/shepherd mix. 7 years ago I adopted Layla, a pittie/german shepherd mix who I’ve trained extensively and take on daily adventures. Then, a year ago I adopted Dixon (a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix) and he’s been reactive to humans and dogs alike. I’ve had extensive training in classes with him alongside professionals. I’ve taken that experience and can apply many basic training concepts to dogs of all sizes/ages.
