I currently work at a kennel, part time as well as caring for the colony animals at University of Guelph - Ridgetown Campus. My schedules are flexible.

I care for pets in my own home. I have a large fenced in yard with few neighbours. Access to many walking trails, directly from my backyard. Safe area for play inside my home. Can offer one on one play, or group play with my dogs or other guests. I can offer a variety of walking possibilities, such solo walks or group walks. Dogs can have their own crates or if they are not used to being crated we do offer bedroom stays. I encourage meeting you and your pet before hand (not required)!

I appreciate as much info as you can provide me prior to your dog’s visit to ensure I can tailor my offerings to best suit your dog. Please let me know if there are any dietary restrictions to follow (Raw diets are welcome). If you could describe your typical reward system used at home (treats or praise). If there are any specific exercise requirements or restrictions. How your dog is with other dogs and cats. How your dog behaves on leash, and whether your dog kennelled while you are away or night. Do you allow your pet(s) on the furniture at home (no wrong answer). Overall, my goal is to provide your pet the safest most home like experince I can.
A typical day
I love going for long walks, playing various games or running agility courses in my large fenced yard. My property backs on to a local trail system for walks, or with consent, go for car ride to one of the many trails around the area that I bring my dogs to. We can play fetch or enjoy a puzzle toy, play with my dogs, or just laze in the sun.

20+ years experience caring for personal, family, colony, shelter, and client animals of all kinds. I am passionate about animals and pets. I have worked around animals for most of my adult life in a variety of fields. From owning and operating my own kennel, breeding and showing dogs at CKC sanctioned events, assisting with and running my own dog classes, completing animal care training and working at University of Guelph (Ridgetown Campus) in their Veterinary Technician Program. I love all dogs and want to work with them to make them as happy as possible. I have a large fenced yard and access to many trails for your dog’s enjoyment. I have significant experience working with all types and breeds of dogs. I am comfortable reading dog body language and can adapt my interactions to suit a wide variety of dog needs. I strive to make sure every dog goes home tired and happy after their stay.

Booking, drop off and pick up all went very smoothly. Jessica is professional and friendly and Bohannon had a great time with Jessica and her dogs. Bohannon is looking forward to having a sleepover again!
Jessica was amazing to work with! This was our first time leaving our 1.5 year high energy, affectionate sheepadoodle for almost a week. Jessica was quick to respond to my immediate inquiry and happily set up a meet-and-greet beforehand. We got photos and a little update everyday which was so appreciated but we never doubted that she was in good hands. We are so happy to have found Jessica and will definitely leave our pup with her again knowing how much fun she had! Thanks again Jessica :)

My pup and I both love it when it’s time for Jessica’s house.. She really really loves doing this and it shows .. from the pic updates, questions about my dogs diet, to the cute little report card, and how she tends to them-it’s all wonderful!
