We have work from home jobs and even have kids who do school from home. The dogs we have in our home hang out with us as we do our regular routine. For dogs needing more activity, I take for walks around the neighborhood, or we will just have a bit of playtime in the yard. Everything here is super casual, where we allow the dogs to do whatever they are comforable with.

Pets in our home are treated like family. We all like to lounge around on the couches and play outside when the weather is nice. Not all dogs are created equal, and some dogs can be destructive/aggressive at times. We try not to allow these types of personalities at our house, as those guys usually do better in their own home with drop-in care. If we do have any unexpected aggression from a dog, we make sure that any pups in our care have a safe place to take a time-out in, if needed. We have doggy pens that we can utilize to separate pups that need a break if necessary.

Most importantly, does your dog get along well with children? We have four kids who love dogs, but not all dogs love kids, so it is important to have compatibility between the two. Also, all dogs in our care have to get along with other dogs, having friendly dogs in our care is a must. We enjoy the company of all breeds of dogs, large and small, and will take intact males for an additional fee of $10 per day. We are able to accept intact females, but the fee may be higher due to the added safety measures to protect her.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We try to get out on a walk, one to two times a day around our neighborhood. I feel that staying in the same area helps the dog to gather information about their surroundings so that they feel more comfortable with us and our routine. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We let dogs decide where they want to sleep. Some prefer to sleep in the master bedroom, some would rather sleep in the living room where they can easily roam around at night. Some dogs even prefer sleeping with the kids. Time I'll spend with your dog I am a stay-at-home-mom. Most of my day is spent at home, so your pet will almost always be surrounded by human companions.

Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a card-carrying animal lover. After graduating college, and a career, I had my first child and decided to be a work-at-home-mom. I have been fortunate enough to be able to take care of people's pets, providing in-home as well as traveling pet-sitting services on my own schedule. Some of my previous clients included dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and even a pig! Whatever the type of animal, providing a loving, safe and fun atmosphere for pets while their parents are away, is one way that I am able to continue to provide experiences for my kids, while also getting to play with cute animals. I love my job and I love the satisfaction of knowing that I am providing the best care possible for the pups I sit. Activities: Not only do we spend lots of time playing outside in our yard, but we also go on one or two walks a day depending on breed, age, etc., because a happy dog is a tired dog! Our home: In addition to play and exercise, we strive to create an atmosphere at our home that best simulates the dog's home environment in order to lessen any stress they may encounter. Our goal is to make their experience as positive as possible, so they will beg to come back! Our home is suited to dogs who are used to children, but we do have pet gates and rooms that are off limits to kids if we have any guests who need a break from them. Dogs in my care are allowed on the furniture as long as that is what they are allowed to do at their own home. My experience: In addition to dogs, we have had cats, fish, turtles, crabs, rabbits, birds, and lizards, guinea pigs and a hamster. I am also comfortable administering medication if necessary.
