Welcome to my profile! Having lived in Toronto all my adult life, I have a love for this city, for hiking its ravine system, parks and trails, and for the dogs that share them with us. I’ve now been working with Rover for six years, and along the way I became a certified professional pet sitter, having first obtained this designation in 2023. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR and have a general knowledge of positive reinforcement training methods. Prior to working with Rover, I regularly cared for the pets of family and friends. Having been an animal lover since childhood, I’ve also been the owner of cats and rabbits. Becoming a Rover pet sitter has been a great opportunity to learn more about the animals I love, and I look forward to meeting you and your pets. I have special rates for stays of longer than 10 days or 21 days, as well as for the care of small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters) and birds. Please contact me for more details.

Safety, trust & environment
Housesitting includes me staying overnight at your home. I will be with your pet a minimum of 19 hours per day. Animals feel safest in their own environment, plus you have the peace of mind knowing that a professional pet sitter is there to provide them with the best care possible. Housesitting also includes two walks per day, play and cuddle time, maintenance of your pet’s regular food and schedule, and basic oral medication administration. If your pet has additional or special needs, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.

Jessica took care of our two standard schnauzers and our house for 8 days. She did a great job. Knows and understands dog care explicitly. The house was well taken care of as well. Jessica is responsive and communicative. She also kept us up to date every day we were away with pictures and a note. We came home to two very well cared for pooches that were happy and healthy. We would recommend Jessica highly with no hesitation. Jessica is also diligent in her preparation on a bespoke basis. She ensures all the bases are covered before she arrives to do the sitting. Lastly we found her to be very flexible.
Jessica is great. Super reliable, great with my Shih Tzu Léo. Really appreciate the communication and feedback she gives of how things went. Would absolutely recommend and trust her completely with both my home and my dog :)

Very happy with Jessica’s care of Patches. I can see having Jessica care for Patches for a day, before I go away overnight for a few days is going to work out well. He definitely became more comfortable with her as the day went on.
Jessica was a lovely pet and house sitter! She sent us lots of updates and photos while we were away, so we knew our boy Beaux was being well looked after. She is an excellent communicator and took very good care of our home. We would definitely book Jessica again for our next trip!

Schedule
I'll provide your pet with company, affection, exercise, plus I'm happy to maintain any training you've been working on. My priority is keeping your pets happy and safe, so I'll stay as close to their regular structure as possible.

- Please let me know as much as you can about your dog's personality and energy level. How are they around other people? How do they react to other dogs? Also let me know if you go away on a regular basis and how your dog has reacted in the past. Please let me know about any issues they have with food, what kind of food they like, if you have them on a regular schedule, and what you give them in terms of treats. Please let me know of any health issues, and any medication they are taking. Overall, I want as much information as possible so that I may maintain your pet's routine and schedule while you're away.
