I'm Jess, and dogs are my absolute world. I've always had dogs in my life. As well as agility training, I'm also an experienced obedience handler, skills trainer and Pets as Therapy handler. I am an all-weather dog walker, offering tailored walks to suit your dogs needs. Whether it's a short round-the-block followed by fun and games at home, or a longer run to burn off some excess energy, there really is no walk too big or small. Experienced and confident with reactive dogs, sensitive dogs, high-energy dogs, and everything in between, I pride myself on my ability to understand dog behaviour. I will let your dog get to know me at their own pace, and only ever use positive, motivating, reward-based training. I cannot wait to meet you and your four-legged pals

First time we've homeboarded our 6year old beagle & he had a fab time! Settled in well with Jess & her 2 dogs and soon made himself at home. We loved getting the daily updates, pic & videos of their walks and home time naps and snuggles. Jess interacted with Skylar, played with him and looked after him very well indeed. There walks were enjoyed in a variety of environments & his off lead time great fun. He responded well to her commands and Jess had a wonderful gentle way with him which he responded to in kind. Jessica truly saved our holiday. Not only did she rescue our Christmas plans, but she turned out to be the kindest, most caring & genuinely lovely person. Our dog Milo had an amazing time with her & was so well looked after. After being cancelled on by another Rover sitter on the day we arrived, we reached out to Jessica in a panic to see if she could board Milo. We knew it was a long shot — same‑day contact, Christmas week — but after a meet‑and‑greet, she welcomed him in without hesitation. We’re so grateful she was willing to help. We knew Milo would need a little time to adjust to new surroundings & unfamiliar faces, & it was clear from every update that Jessica understood this. She gave him the space & time he needed to settle in at his own pace. Throughout Milo’s stay, we received regular updates, along with lovely videos & photos that instantly put our minds at ease. We especially loved the video of Milo opening his Christmas stocking, such a thoughtful touch. It was wonderful to see how active & affectionate she was with him — taking him to the beach, giving him plenty of attention, & making sure he felt comfortable, happy, & loved. Jessica, without a shadow of a doubt, will always be our go‑to person whenever we’re in her region. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, & we’re incredibly thankful for everything she did for Milo & for us.
My dog Chloe had a wonderful time staying at Jessicas . She was taken for lovely walks and outings to Dalkeith country park , Longniddry beach and local parks . She had great fun playing with Jessicas two friendly dogs . She was treated as one of the family and allowed freedom of the house and garden . I would definately ask Jessica to look after her again and highly reccomend her to others
Absolutely wonderful, we could not recommend Jessica more highly. She kept us informed of everything Skye was doing during our holiday, complete with really regular pictures and updates. When Skye developed a rash Jessica not only took Skye to the vets but by the time we were home, with the excellent care received from Jessica the rash had almost completely gone. For as long as Jessica has the availability and continues to board dogs she will be the only person we use.
Jessica is trustworthy, reliable and caring, and she loves and understand dogs. She is one of only two people I trust with my own dogs' care and well-being. (the other person lives 300 miles away!) As well as walking, feeding and over-night stays, her care includes administering eye drops to one of my dogs three times a day. She is mindful of the varying temperaments of different dogs and how this affects their behaviour and needs. She would offer love, care and understanding to any dog in her care.

Schedule
As a teacher my availability is pretty much matched to school term dates, with evenings, weekends and school holidays being the best times for me to visit, walk and look after your dogs.

I'm delighted to be able to accommodate dog boarding and house-sitting so that you can provide your dogs with the bespoke care they need while you are away. For those that come to me I offer a lovely house with a secure garden, and a real home-from-home experience. Equally happy coming to you, I am a clean, tidy, quiet and respectful guest.

A typical day
I love providing enrichment in all forms for dogs. A typical day involves 3 - 4 walks, games at home such as 'find the treat', as well as lots of play with dog toys and in the garden.
