Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine—we’re a family of animal lovers, and we treat every pup like one of our own. My husband and I both work part-time, about 30 hours a week combined, and we also drop off and pick up our kids from school each day. On average, the longest a dog would be home alone is around 4–5 hours, and even that is rare. My husband often works from home at least one day a week and usually finishes work earlier than I do. Mornings in our home are for cuddles, feeding, playtime, and a walk (if your pup enjoys that!). During any time away, we make sure your dog is safe and comfortable—whether that's in a cozy designated area or crated if that’s what they’re used to. Once we’re back home, your pup becomes part of our family: evening walks, playtime with the kids, and lots of love and attention. For sleeping arrangements, we follow your dog’s routine—whether that means snoozing in our bedroom, curled up on the couch, or tucked into their own comfy bed. We aim to make your dog feel secure, happy, and at home every step of the way.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in our home, we focus on creating a safe, loving, and calm environment that mirrors their usual routine as much as possible. We treat every dog like part of our family—making sure they feel comfortable, secure, and well-loved throughout their stay. We stick closely to the care instructions you provide, including feeding times, medications (if needed), walk routines, and play preferences. Mornings typically include feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and a walk if requested. While we are out during the day, your pet will have a designated safe space (or crate if preferred), and never be left alone for long—usually no more than 4–5 hours, and often much less. Once we're home, your dog gets our full attention—walks, play, snuggles, and quality time with our family. We also follow your dog’s preferred bedtime routine, whether that means sleeping in our bedroom, on their own bed, or however they’re most comfortable. If we’re caring for pets in your home, we do our best to maintain their normal routine and treat your home with the utmost respect. We give regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands.

A typical day
We love keeping pets active, happy, and feeling like part of the family! A typical day in our home starts with morning potty breaks, breakfast, and some gentle playtime or a walk (if requested). We follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible—whether that means cuddle time on the couch, a slow stroll, or just relaxing in the sun. We do have a resident dog, our 14-year-old Alaskan Malamute/Yellow Lab mix. He’s very mellow, not overly active, and a wonderful, calm companion. He gets along with everyone and is great at helping new dogs feel relaxed and at home. Most of the day is spent in a peaceful, loving environment with plenty of attention from me, my husband, and our two dog-loving kids. Evenings usually include more playtime, a walk if desired, dinner, and lots of cuddles before bedtime. Sleeping arrangements are based on your dog’s usual routine—whether that’s in a crate, on a bed, or close by in our room.

Pet care experience
🐾 About Me Hi! My name is Jessica. My husband (Christian) and I are lifelong dog lovers, and together with our two young kids (ages 6 & 8), we’re opening our home to dogs in need of a loving, comfortable place to stay. We recently lost our beloved 10-year-old Husky, and while nothing can replace him, we’re hoping to fill our hearts and home with more dog love. We currently live in a one-story home in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced front yard, a covered porch for rainy days, and even a small garden area with a little bridge—perfect for curious pups to explore. Your dog will be treated like part of the family, getting tons of affection, playtime, and attention. 🐶 My Experience Over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities Managed a doggy daycare and handled everything from high-energy pups to anxious seniors Past Rover sitter with many happy clients Graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2014 – Certified Veterinary Assistant Experienced in administering daily medications (even complex schedules) 🦴 What to Expect Daily walks (if desired) – included at no extra cost Playtime & training – basic commands, leash manners, etc. Cuddles, love, and companionship – your dog will never feel like “just a guest” Safe space or crate use (based on your dog’s routine) Flexible sleeping arrangements – whether your dog sleeps in a crate, on a bed, or in our room, we’ll do what’s most comforting for them We always encourage a meet & greet before booking so you can see our home and meet the whole family who will be caring for your dog. Our goal is to make this an stress-free, positive experience for both you and your pup! 🐕🦺 Final Notes We understand that every dog is unique, and we’re committed to providing care that fits your dog’s routine and personality. Whether your pup is playful, shy, senior, or full of energy—we’re ready to welcome them with open arms. We can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!
Reviews

Backyard was completely fenced in. The yard seemed well maintained. There is much vegetation around the perimeter for our dog to sniff and explore.

Bender had a great time as always! I highly recommend her!

Bender had an awesome time with Jessica! I will definitely be using her again!!

My dog Pumpkin stayed with Jessica and Christian over Thanksgiving break and had a great time. They have a loving home where their schedule allows for someone to be home with the dogs at all times. They were very nice and took great care of her. Hope to use them again in the future.
