I’m a part time dog groomer. My days off during the week differ slightly week to week, so feel free to message me to see if a time works. I also have goats and chickens at home. And my goats are such a joy as they always come to the gate to greet me when they see me coming. When time allows, I do enjoy going to the barn with friends and spending time with them and their horses. Over the last few years, I have developed a wonderful relationship with several horses.

I always walk dogs on leash, never retractable for the safety of both dog and myself. Training is key to a happy dog. I always walk dogs on the “heel” command. I can also play ball or other games in the yard with the dog. Playing games helps with mental and physical health of the dog.

It is very important to meet new to me dogs beforehand. A good way for us to get to know each other is to do a little play time in the back yard with a favorite toy.
A typical day
I love to play ball, frisbee, rope/tug, and take walks with the pooches I spend time with. I also enjoy doing behavior training with the dogs as this helps build their confidence while doing other activities like going out for walks in the neighborhood.

I’ve had 3 dogs in my life: a Norwegian Elkhund/Keeshond mix she lived for almost 13 years, a border collie, and a German Shepherd that I trained myself … so I have plenty of experience with walking, grooming playtime and training. I can help with training of all ages. I use Cesar Milan methods.

Jessica S. would be a terrific addition to your animal care family. She has been caring for my three horses at their boarding stable for close to three years now. It’s clear from the start that Jessica is a lover of animals as well as their humans. She provides excellent general, day to day, care as well as tender, loving care when they have been sick or injured. She does not have to go out into the pasture to get them as they come running when they see her. Going above and beyond her duties, she took it upon herself to make sure my horses got their daily medication when I couldn’t be there. Jessica is reliable and good about keeping in contact.
