Active, Loving Care from a Vet Pro

Caring for animals has been a part of my life since childhood. I’ve owned dogs since I was 7 and spent 15 years working hands-on in veterinary clinics, as well as at shelters, gaining experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs. Before having children, I also ran my own pet-sitting service, caring for pets as if they were my own. I’m now a marine biologist who primarily works from home, but my love for animal care has never changed. Your dog will share our home with Sheriff, my very friendly black Lab, and my two young children, who love helping give extra attention and cuddles. Between playtime, walks, and lots of love, I’ll make sure your dog has plenty of fun and feels right at home.

Jessica is the best dog sitter. My little dog who is just 3 months in Canada (from Mexico) felt safe and comfortable in her home. Even with her large dog, Jessica helped to make her feel right at home. She sent me regular updates and pictures of how Sancha was doing which helped me not to worry about her. I will use her again.

Jessica was incredibly caring, patient, and understanding with our shy dog, Sawyer. She knew exactly how to help him feel comfortable and at home during his overnight stay. Sawyer got lots of exercise, had a great time playing, and came home happy and relaxed. Jessica also sent us photos and updates throughout his stay, which we really appreciated and made us feel at ease. I would highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their furry family member!

Doggy Day Care • May 03, 2026

Jessica is amazing with my pup, Molly! She clearly loves dogs and takes such good care of her. Many walks during the day and reporting back to me with photos, which is very much appreciated. My dog is 12 lbs and adores her dog, Sheriff who is a 75 lb black lab. I don’t think Molly knows she’s small lol. I take her there once a week and I know she will have a fun filled day. I highly recommend Jessica as a caregiver for your pet - she’s great!

Doggy Day Care • Mar 06, 2026

Jessica was very helpful with my suggestions and wanting her to meet my "fearful " dog before the actual sitting day. Turned out she had such calming energy that my dog settled right down with her shortly after being dropped off there. She knew what to do to get my little one to be comfortable with her young daughter and also the large family dog.

Jessica is truly one of a kind when it comes to animal care. She has a lifetime of experience with pets, but what really sets her apart is her professional background—having been a Vet Tech. That level of expertise gives me such incredible peace of mind. She has watched my own animals for years, and her care is as compassionate as it is knowledgeable. Knowing my pets are in the hands of someone who deeply understands animal health and behavior is priceless. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone; she is simply the best!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and is a central part of our home life. I work from home , which allows me to be present throughout the day for feeding, playtime, walks, pats, and monitoring each pet’s comfort and wellbeing. My days are structured but flexible, with plenty of one-on-one attention, enrichment, and downtime. Whether it’s daily check-ins, extended stays, or extra cuddles, caring for pets is something I truly enjoy and prioritize every day of the week.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets as if they were my own, focusing on safety, comfort, and maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. With 15 years of experience working in veterinary clinics and shelters, I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health, and recognizing changes in behavior or wellbeing. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm, and spacious environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and enrichment throughout the day. I follow each pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided. Pets are never left alone for long periods and are supervised to ensure they feel secure and relaxed. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet’s space and the household. I provide reliable visits for feeding, walks, litter care, playtime, and companionship, while keeping routines consistent to reduce stress. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

A typical day

I love to hike and take the dogs to the beach! We will also play fetch in our fenced back yard. Typically, I’ll head out for a 30 min morning walk to the beach in the morning and then a longer hike or walk in the woods in the afternoon. On the weekends, I’ll tend to go for longer hikes.
