Pro, loving sitter for dogs & cats
I’m new to Rover but have been a pet sitter for 10+ years. I've always adored taking care of animals and spending time with them. I had dogs, cats and rodents for pets growing up as a child and teenager. I also went on to have my own dogs and cats as an adult. As a pet sitter I've taken care of many different cats and dogs for 10+ years. I've also taken care of rabbits, amphibians, birds and fish the last few years as well. I'm intuitive, patient, compassionate and diligent with all animals. I have experience with animals with all sorts of personalities, temperaments, ages, sizes and needs, including disabled, special need animals and animals with conditions that require medications. I can board all kinds of animals, housesit for all kinds of animals and make visits to all kinds of animals when you're away or aren't able to take care of them for other reasons. It always makes me happy to be around animals and take care of them to the best of my ability. I will send daily updates, pictures and videos if I'm taking care of your pet so you can be confident they're doing great in my care.

Jessica and Dan were great hosts to our dog Chou. Always communicative and send plenty of pictures. Chou seemed delighted with the toys and attention from them. She had a great time with her stay and would happily rebook again.
Jessica was so great with Bear! Bear is a very nervous little guy and she sent photos and video of him so happy with her and it made us feel so much better as we were travelling. She really understood how sensitive he was and was so patient with him and made him feel so comfortable:)
Jessica was wonderful. She was communicative and quick to respond. My dog had a great time playing with her pup. I was deeply appreciative of her willingness to accommodate an unexpected last-minute change to my schedule, it was a huge help. I'd definitely recommend Jessica.
Jessica took amazing care of my little Lolli and kept her happy / playing / having fun!
Jessica took great care of our dog Kenny for 5 days while we were on vacation. She was flexible on pick up and drop off and very responsive. We got a lot of great photos as well! This is the 2nd time that Jessica cared for Kenny and we would definitely ask her to watch him again in the future.

Schedule
I currently work part time as an assistant which is work I do at home. I also teach 2 college classes a few minutes away from my apartment during the school year in the Fall and Spring but other than that I'm usually home. I can visit most areas in Brooklyn and Manhattan. I live in Dumbo, Brooklyn so I can easily get to Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Clinton Hill, as well as Chinatown, FIDI, LES, the east village and other lower Manhattan and Brooklyn areas. I'm a long time animal lover and petsitter but have a new Rover account.

Safety, trust & environment
I have my own apartment where animals can happily hang out or sleep on any of my furniture, their own beds and/or their crates. I have an elevator in my apartment building and also central air conditioning. I don't have a yard but I'm a 3 minute walk from a wonderful park and 2 grassy areas. I can easily bring your dog or pet to that park or areas often. I also live close to two dog parks as well. I always give animals space and reassurance when I visit a new space or have an animal staying with me. I love to build an animal's trust on their time and make sure they are comfortable with the process of getting to know me. I also enjoy spoiling animals in any way that works for them and their owner.
Pets
A typical day
I love taking walks in the city and exploring all the amazing parks, historic sights, flea markets and restuarants. I have a park I love that is close to me so I usually go there daily at least. On a typical day I often will workout or do yoga in my apartment or at a nearby studio, do some writing at home and spend time with either animals I'm taking care of or animals I'm doing volunteer work with.
