I am primarily a private dog/puppy trainer and behavior consultant. I also worked with dogs and cats for many years at a local shelter and have cared for/handled a huge variety of breeds and temperaments. I have had cats both throughout my childhood and adult life, as well as three beautiful pit bulls, who all went over the rainbow bridge in the last four years. I am a deeply compassionate person who is sensitive to individual needs of each animal in my care, able to cater to all age groups and am respectful of each pet parent's wishes. Your pet will receive the structure and routine they are used to as much as possible while being treated as one of my own. Communication is reliable and my home environment is clean and comfy.

Jessica and her husband were an excellent choice for us to leave our puppies with. One of our dogs has special needs and they took her and our chihuahua in with so much love. Jessica made sure we got updates every morning and afternoon. She asked the right questions when something came up with either of the dogs. Will definitely be looking forward to have our dogs over at her place in the future.
We left our dog with Jessica and Brian for 3 weeks and she was immaculately cared for! We got photo updates and felt very comfortable knowing she was well cared for. Thank you again for treating her like family! We would recommend Jessica to anyone!

Whoever gets Jessica to care for their beloved pets gets an amazingly qualified animal person- in all areas. I know Jess as a trainer par excellence. She has completely turned around a foster dog in my care with two positive reinforcement sessions. It's all about love when Jess engages with a dog, plus an intuition and understanding of dogs and their needs. I am thrilled that Jess is now offering this service. I know that my dogs, and my home, will be totally cared for in my absence. I can't emphasize enough the skills she brings to the table! I know in addition to food and medications my dogs will be in loving and capable hands. Because she is such a wonderful and caring trainer, I know that just by being with her they will be further enriched in that way....

I'm self-employed and so my schedule is very flexible, allowing me to make sure I have ample time and energy for personalized pet care and enrichment.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a house with a securely fenced back yard, padlocked gates and no gardeners, service persons or anyone else outside of my partner and I who can access the space. My office and our kitchen have baby gates on them if needed and there is a lockable screen door on the main front entry door. I am also a certified, professional dog trainer and my partner and I both used to work at the Pasadena Humane Society so we are highly experienced with all kinds of breeds and temperaments.
A typical day
My goal is to help your pet(s) feel as at home as possible with opportunities to lay on multiple comfy dog beds or to snuggle up on the couch with my partner and I. We like to offer fresh snacks if appropriate for your dog's diet, as well as lots of opportunities for play, enrichment, sniff walks (or power walks depending on your pup's preference!) and quiet time.
Prices include all fees.
