Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve been caring for cats and dogs since I started pet sitting at around 13 years old. I currently have a small Rhodesian Ridgeback mix named Penelope, who is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Before adopting her, I was lucky enough to have an amazing Lab/Great Dane mix for 11 years, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes—including giant breeds! As a pet owner myself, I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member with someone new. My top priority is making sure every dog in my care is safe, comfortable, and having a great time. To help set everyone up for success, I require all new clients to complete a complimentary trial stay before their first booking. During the trial, you’ll drop your dog off for a couple of hours so they can explore my home, meet me, and get comfortable with the environment. Afterward, I’ll let you know how they did and answer any questions you have. This trial helps ensure we’re a great fit and provides a smooth, low-stress transition for future stays. Because of this process, I’m unable to accept same-day/short-notice drop-offs for new clients.

Schedule
I work from home Mondays and Fridays and I work in Dallas Tuesday through Thursday from 7am-3pm. This means I will not be able to do midday potty breaks when I have go into the office. This also means I am not available for pickups or drop offs until I return home on the days I go into the office, so please be aware of this when you are making your request.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I also have a steady base of regular clients, so it’s very likely your pup will make some new friends during their stay. I can easily crate your dog if needed, but it’s not a requirement. As previously indicated, my top priority is making sure the dogs I care for are safe and enjoying their time while staying with me. In order to ensure that, I offer a free “trial stay” before their first booking. That’s where you bring your dog over and let them hangout with me for a couple of hours to get a chance to get familiar with my environment. After getting to meet some new friends and lots of new smells, you will pick them up and I fill you in on how they did. This is a requirement for all bookings 😊

A typical day
I have a fenced in yard and one friendly dog to keep your pup company during his or her stay. Playing in the backyard, going on walks, occasional trips to the dog park, etc… Please let me know if have any questions about what a typical day looks like in my home.

- **A trial day is required before all first-time bookings** This means I cannot accept short-notice requests unless you’re an existing client. All sizes are welcome! Please let me know if your pup has exhibited any aggressive behaviors in the past. I have a small children in my home and cannot accept any dogs that have been aggressive, no exceptions. Please let me know if your pup has any issues with separation anxiety and what you do to help him or her relax when he or she is feeling anxious. Also, please let me know about any other behavioral issues your dog has exhibited in the past, particularly in regards to dominating, barking, chewing, and marking*** ***ATTN: MALE DOG OWNERS*** Belly bands will be utilized when a dog marks in the house.
