Because I have never had a dog myself, my desire to care for and be around them is only increased. I have extensive experience caring for family and friends dogs, including overnight dog-sitting over a period of multiple days at a time. This experience includes walking, bathing, feeding and providing medication for dogs of all ages from puppies to senior dogs.

I always prioritise a dogs welfare, keeping them safe on walks and in your home exactly how you wish. This means keeping the structure and schedule which the dog has become accustomed to will remain as similar as possible to their daily life. I will always strictly adhere to the owners wishes and structure which they’ve have in place for their dogs.

Jess has cancelled an overnight trial stay and a 5 day boarding booking where I was due to see my sister get married overseas on June the 5th. These bookings were for both my dog and cat in my home and were planned at the beginning of April. I followed all the procedures with Rover, conversation, meet and greet, lots of communication. It was important to find someone to stay in my home and maintain the routine with both pets. I told Jess from the very beggining that Yoda slept with me on my bed and would expect to do the same with her. I was very clear on this as I know that some sitters prefer a dog in a crate ect. Also, my cat is a house cat so she roams the house at her leisure. I wrote a very long care sheet for Jess recently outlining all the do's and don'ts. Jess read this and at no point explained that she is an anxious sleeper and being disturbed by the pets could be an issue. Jess has had weeks to explain this, but instead allowed me to believe that their would be no problem with my bookings. This week I planned a half hour walk where she could spend time with my dog. I also booked a trial sleep over for the following day so she could get a feel for the house and the pets. Jess was at my house for around half an hour and when I showed her where she would sleep she asked if she could lock the pets out of the bedroom at night. I said no as the Yoda sleeps on the bed as she already knew and the reason I booked someone to stay in my home is so the pets had their usual routine of having access to the whole house. Jess said nothing while in my home, but went home and text me to say she cant do the bookings as she is an anxious sleeper and didn't realise the pets could sleep on the bed. Jess has done this leaving me 10 days to try and find another sitter for my holiday. I am devastated as Jess has had 6 weeks to tell me she is anxious sleeping in a house with pets that could share her bed. From this experience I conclude that Jess is not a confident nor a experienced pet house sitter. Rover offered to find someone else from Rover to fill the position, but I do not trust this site any more. I will not use them again.
Jessica was a wonderful sitter for our dog! She was prompt, professional and kept us well-informed throughout the weekend with messages and lovely pics/videos. Most importantly, our dog was clearly really happy and very well-cared for whilst we were away, leaving us to have a relaxing time. She even looked for Jessica the day after we came back! I wouldn't hesitate to book Jessica again; very glad to have found such a brilliant service.
Jess looked after my 2 puppies and my 2 year old french bulldog. She sent me pictures and updates throughout. When i returned home the house was clean and tidy. She is amazing. Thank you so much x
Jessica is an extremely professional and trustworthy individual. She is a very keen dog lover and has looked after my two dogs a cocker spaniel and a cockapoo whilst I have been at work. She enjoys walking and is happy to feed and clean up after my dogs. The dogs respect her commands and enjoy her company. I am happy to leave Jessica with full access to my home.
Jess has been a massive help looking after my dog over the last year as I’ve started my career. She is a caring, kind and diligent dog-sitter who helps to provide my dog with all the care she needs throughout the day, including walking, feeding and bathing. I wouldn’t think twice before asking Jess to look after my dog 🐶
