Boarding at the Beach!
Hi! I'm Jessica and I would love to offer your dog a home away from home with lots of love and exercise! I have always been a huge animal lover. Not only have I had pets my whole life and worked for numerous families and friends caring for their pets, but I have professional experience caring for all types of animals. A few of the organizations that I have volunteered for are the Humane Society, Santa Barbara Zoo, and the Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center. That being said, if you have a critter other than a dog or cat and need a sitter for them, I can help so please reach out and we can discuss! My home is a few miles from the beach and I take dog walks there often. We go on outings to nearby dog-friendly parks (Camino Real and Arroyo Verde are the favorites) and absolutely love to go hiking in our beautiful mountains, so you can be confident that your dog will get some quality outdoors time, whether they need a long walk or a good game of fetch! I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. Between outings, your dog will have the house and yard available as well as lots of attention from our family which includes myself, my husband, our 2 young kids, and our playful 30 lb dog, Sombra. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. Jessica and her family were fantastic!! I was planning a birthday party for my 5 year old and knew that having 50+ people over at our house would be a lot for my sweet aussie. Jessica picked up Josie the morning of the party, giving me additional ease and one less thing to do on party day while I set up. I was in awe of all she was up to with Josie, providing her opportunities to socialize, get her wiggles out and come home a happy and content pup. 10/10 recommend!
Jessica was an amazing dog sitter for us! She was communicative, friendly, and flexible. We booked her within the same week and she was gracious enough to board our dog for the weekend at her home. Not only that, but when timing issues arose from our side, she was friendly and flexible with drop off and pick up times. During the dog sitting, Jessica sent pictures and videos updating us on walks, pets, and playtime. We would definitely recommend her and rebook her in the future. Thank you Jessica!

Schedule
I work part-time from home so your dog will get a lot of attention and exercise. Walks and park visits are a daily part of my routine as are playing fetch in the backyard. On the weekends I like to to take the dogs on other adventures such as on hikes or to the beach.

Safety, trust & environment
Our backyard has a 6ft tall fence and is fully secure. For dogs that feel more comfortable having a crate available inside the home for resting or sleeping, you can bring your own or we can provide one.

A typical day
The pups and I love taking walks in the neighborhood, nearby at the beach and Arroyo Verde. We also hike the trails in Ventura, Ojai, Carp, and SB.
