At last look, our large Coonhound X, Cody, was sitting beside Jessica, and ok with us driving away. We couldn't have asked for a more calming feeling. Jessica and Dennis kept Cody and our feline gang (3 cats) fed & happy and with their love of the outdoors, kept Cody so well exercised - even with the winter weather conditions in cottage country, Ontario. Communication in general was easy and regular, before and during our time away. They sent photo's almost daily and never left us wondering about home. Lalita - Prince Edward County, Ontario 5 - 25 Jan 2023 Jessica was an amazing sitter for our 2 spoiled bulldogs and cat. They can demand a lot and Jessica met their every need. She had excellent communication while we were away. The house was incredibly tidy when we got home. We would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter. She got to know our pets well and their little quirks which was so nice to see especially while we were away on a long trip. Jessica even did a little photo shoot with them for our wedding and sent us the sweetest photo of them dressed up! When they came in the door they greeted Cricket at her level near the ground and she was immediately comfortable. When they left I found many little gifts that they got for her, including her new favorite ball! While I was away, Jessica sent many photos of Dennis walking Cricket and taking her with him on trips around town. We had an incident while we were away and our friends car needed to be moved off the street. Jess was easy to get a hold of, found the keys and moved the car without a fuss. The house looked better than when we left. As far as pet sitters I highly recommend them; we have 3 German Shepherd Dogs and within minutes Jessica and Dennis were readily accepted by them and hardly noticed that we had left ! LOL The cockatoo fell in love with them but Dennis really won her heart : ) Denny - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 26 January - 05 February 2019 Jess and Dennis took excellent care of Puddle and Buddy for 10 days and treated them like their own. The dogs were healthy and happy as a result of many hikes and walks. Had it not been ridiculously cold they would have had even more walks and both dogs were noticeably fit and trim when we arrived home. In fact, I think they were sulking a little bit, missing the constant companionship and snuggles. We received many photos and updates while we were away which was greatly appreciated. By nature, I am fastidious, have high standards, and like cleanliness. So my reviews are not easy or a rubber stamp, and it is through that lens that this review was written. I am pleased to report that Jessica and Dennis were absolutely wonderful. From the start, communication was excellent and I felt at ease dealing with Jessica. We spoke on the phone a few times and texted regularly (at my request). They sent me pictures of my dogs and home to ensure I knew everything was okay. Every single item and issue was given proper attention (including special instructions for pet care) and they left my home spotless. High praise for Jessica and Dennis! I highly recommend them and would ask them to sit again for me in a heartbeat! I was that kid that brought home all the strays, nursed baby birds back to health, and insisted that our kindergarten class have a pet newt (which we named Gordon). I can't even kill spiders - I relocate them outside. As a Masters of Social Work graduate student, I currently work as a researcher and program developer for The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CFAS)-- and we are collectively working to implement animal-assisted services for youth and university students. I am fortunate enough to be able to do much of my work from my laptop, although I regularly meet and consult with other animal-assisted therapy organizations around the globe.
