I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of pets, ranging from small mammals and companion animals. I have cared for tortoises, goldfish, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, cats, and dogs of all ages and temperaments. My experience includes supporting a senior dog recovering from a stroke, ensuring their comfort, safety, and rehabilitation while maintaining their daily routine and health needs. I have also successfully bred and raised dogs, overseeing a mother through three litters of puppies and providing comprehensive care for all puppies until they were eight weeks old. This included monitoring their health, socialization, nutrition, and early training, ensuring each puppy developed strong foundations for lifelong well-being. My approach to pet care is attentive, compassionate, and tailored to each individual animal’s needs, whether it’s maintaining specialized enclosures for reptiles, ensuring proper nutrition and enrichment for small mammals, or providing exercise, stimulation, and medical support for dogs and cats.

Jess did an excellent job of looking after Ralph and her family welcomed him into their home and gave him lots of love and attention. Although Ralph was nervous initially,as he suffers from separation anxiety, Jess managed to calm him down quickly and he settled in playing with her two lovely dogs and even slept on her son's bed at night. I would definitely take Ralph there again and have no hesitation in recommending Jess as a fabulous dog carer.
Jess was absolutely amazing with Bailey! From the moment he arrived, she made him feel so welcome and comfortable. He also got on brilliantly with her two lovely dogs, which was really nice to see and meant he had some great company while he was there. 🐶❤️ Jess kept me updated and I felt completely reassured knowing Bailey was happy, settled and being so well looked after. He clearly had a lovely time and came home happy and content. I’m so grateful to Jess for taking such good care of him, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, trustworthy and experienced. We’ll definitely be booking with Jess again! 🐾💕
Jess took such great care of Barney and sent us lots of lovely photos and updates throughout his stay, which really put our minds at ease. We felt completely confident that he was happy, safe and being really well cared for. Barney clearly felt right at home with Jess, her three children and her two dogs, and it was lovely to see how settled and comfortable he was. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Barney with Jess again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their dog.

Schedule
I am currently working from home, which allows me to build pet care naturally into my daily routine. Caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I provide feeding, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, grooming where needed, and regular health monitoring each day. I also ensure living areas are kept clean and that each animal receives plenty of love, attention, and positive interaction. My flexible schedule means I am able to adapt to the individual needs of each pet, whether that involves walks, playtime, administering medication if required, or simply providing companionship. Whether it's playful dogs, curious cats, or small mammals, every animal is given a safe, happy, and caring environment where their welfare is my priority.

Each pet receives individual attention, regular feeding, exercise, and enrichment tailored to their needs. Whether it’s cuddles for cats, walks for dogs, or proper habitat care for small mammals, I ensure every pet is happy, secure, and well-cared for while in my home.

A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor activities to suit their personality, age, and energy levels. For dogs, I enjoy walks, games of fetch, tug toys, puzzle games, and plenty of playtime, as well as opportunities to explore new sights and smells. For cats, I provide interactive toys, feather wands, climbing opportunities, and lots of fuss and attention if they enjoy it. For small animals, I make sure they have appropriate enrichment, safe handling where suitable, and stimulating environments that encourage their natural behaviours. Above all, I make sure every pet has lots of affection, positive interaction, and quality time so they feel happy, relaxed, and loved while they're in my care.

- Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine, personality, and individual needs. This includes their feeding schedule, exercise requirements, favourite toys, any medical conditions or medications, allergies, fears or anxieties, and whether they get along with other animals and people. I also like to know about any behavioural quirks, training commands they respond to, emergency contact details, and their usual sleeping arrangements. Keeping pets in a familiar routine helps them feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away, so I always aim to provide care that is as close to home as possible.
