🐾 Your Dog’s Home Away From Home
I am a lifelong dog lover and owner who recently said goodbye to my beloved dog after 16.5 wonderful years. While my family is not quite ready to make the commitment to another dog of our own, I truly miss having a pup around—and I would love to spoil yours while you’re away! I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. I only host one dog at a time, and I'm specifically looking for small, friendly dogs (30 lbs or less) who are comfortable in a family home. My 9-year-old son is also a huge dog lover and is very excited to have a furry friend around the house again! He’ll be part of the fun—playing, giving belly rubs, and enjoying plenty of cuddle time—so I'm looking for dogs who are comfortable and happy around children. My home is calm, cozy, and dog-friendly, with plenty of opportunities for cuddles, playtime, and attention. Because I'm selective about the dogs I will host, my goal is for your pup to feel like they’re staying with family—not being boarded at a kennel. I'm happy to care for dogs of all ages who enjoy a quiet, loving home environment. A meet-and-greet before every stay helps make sure it’s a great fit for everyone!

Schedule
I work from home full-time, so I’m able to be home with your dog throughout most of the day. My flexible schedule allows for regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I'm also home a lot on weekends and enjoy having a dog join me for family activities. I do have the occasional sports game, outing, or event, but these are generally during the daytime and I'm never away for more than about 8 hours at a time. Your pup will be welcome to settle into the normal family routine—whether that means following me around while I work, curling up nearby for a nap, playing with my son after school, or getting lots of cuddles on the couch.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only host one dog at a time, so your pup will have my full attention and won’t have to share the house with other visiting dogs. My home is a single-level home with no stairs, making it easy for dogs of all ages to get around comfortably. I do not have a fenced-in yard, so dogs are always supervised and kept securely on a leash or harness whenever they’re outside. Inside, your dog is welcome to make themselves at home! I am a true dog lover, so cuddling on the couch, curling up next to me while I work, and even sleeping in bed are all perfectly fine. I want your pup to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re here. I'll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any other care instructions you provide. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and well cared for. Before every stay, we’ll have a meet-and-greet to make sure your dog is comfortable in my home and that we’re a good fit for each other.
A typical day
My days are pretty relaxed and revolve around making your pup feel at home! Since I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day, with regular potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. We’ll start the day with a potty break and some morning playtime, followed by breakfast and plenty of time to relax while I work. Throughout the day, there will be opportunities for walks, playing with toys, getting some one-on-one attention, or simply curling up next to me for a nap. After school, my 9-year-old son will be excited to join in for some playtime and, of course, plenty of dog cuddles! Evenings are family time, with more play, cuddles, and relaxing together. Your pup is welcome to hang out wherever I am in the house and be part of the normal routine. I'll follow your dog’s usual feeding, medication, sleep, and activity schedule as closely as possible. And because every dog has a different personality, I'll let your pup’s comfort level and preferences guide the day—whether they’re playful and energetic or perfectly happy spending the afternoon snoozing on the couch.

I am looking for small dogs 30 lbs or less who are friendly, house-trained, and comfortable in a family home with a 9-year-old child. Please let me know about your dog’s personality, routines, and any quirks that will help make their stay comfortable. I'm happy to accommodate their normal feeding schedule, medications, sleeping arrangements, and other care needs whenever possible. For everyone’s safety and comfort, your dog should be comfortable around children and able to be safely managed on a leash or harness when outside, as I do not have a fenced yard. If they have anxiety, behavioral quirks, separation concerns, or anything else I should know about, please tell me. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can care for them and make sure we’re a good fit.
