Pet care fits really naturally into our routine because we both work hybrid jobs, so there’s always one of us at home during the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. We’re early risers and usually pop out to the gym in the morning for about an hour, but outside of that we’re home a lot, especially evenings and weekends. We plan our days around the dogs we’re looking after. Walks happen multiple times a day depending on energy levels and toilet needs, and we’re happy to stick to whatever routine your dog is used to - feeding times, medication, sleep habits, all of it. At home, dogs are allowed on the couch and can sleep wherever they’re comfortable (their own bed, our room, or wherever they naturally settle). We try to keep things as close to their normal home life as possible so it doesn’t feel stressful or unfamiliar. We always like to do a quick meet-and-greet beforehand too at our place. It helps dogs feel more relaxed, and it gives owners peace of mind seeing where they’ll be staying.

Information Jessica M. would like to know about your pet

To ensure we provide the best possible care for your beloved pet, we gather some essential information in advance. We ask the dog owners for the following details: - Who should we reach out to in case of an emergency? What are the vet's details? - Where does your dog typically sleep at night? - How often do you walk your dog? - Is your dog neutered or spayed? - Are there any known allergies or dietary restrictions we should be aware of? - How often and at what times does your dog eat? - How well does your dog interact with other dogs and people? - Does your dog know any commands or tricks? Are there specific training routines to follow? - How long can your dog comfortably be left alone? - Has your dog been left with sitters before? - Are there any ongoing medical conditions or medications your dog needs? - Are there any specific behavioural concerns we should be aware of? - What are your dog's favourite toys, games, or activities? It’s less about being formal and more about making sure we’re doing things the way you would at home. The more we know, the easier it is to keep their routine familiar and stress-free.

A typical day

At Gareth & Jess's, we ensure your dog has a fun, engaging, and comfortable day filled with love and attention. Here is what a typical day looks like: - 07H00- Breakfast & Gym Time: We start the day by feeding your dog. While we head to gym, your dog can relax and settle in our safe, comfortable home. - 09H00 - Morning Walk: After the gym, we take your dog on a morning walk, giving them the chance to stretch their legs and enjoy the outdoors. - 09H30-12H30 - Work & Play: During our working hours, your dog can nap by our feet or engage in some indoor playtime. We love throwing the ball, playing tug-of-war, and giving out treats. - 12H30 - Midday Walk: A midday walk provides your dog with a break and some exercise to keep them happy and healthy... and an excuse for us to get away from our screens. - 13H00-17H00 - Afternoon Work & Relaxation: While we continue to work, your dog can enjoy a calm afternoon with plenty of opportunities for cuddles and relaxation. - 17H30 - Dinner Time: We serve dinner according to your dog's dietary requirements, usually 30 minutes before taking them on an afternoon walk. - 18H00 - Afternoon Walk: After dinner, we head out for an enjoyable walk, often to the park, letting your dog burn off some energy and enjoy the evening air. - 21H30 - Evening Walk: Before bedtime, we take one last walk to ensure your dog is comfortable and ready for a good night's sleep. - 22H00 - Bed Time: We usually go to bed around 22H00, letting your dog sleep wherever they feel most comfortable. Throughout the day, we prioritise your dog's well-being and happiness, providing a balanced mix of exercise and relaxation. Our flexible schedule ensures they are rarely alone and always well cared for.

Jess & Gareth looked after our dog for a week when we went abroad. We received lots of photos, showing that our dog was having a great time with them. Will definitely use them again and would recommend.
