Availability

I stay home full time with our son and 3 dogs, so your pets would have consistent care and supervision. Dogs are never left unattended together. We also have a separate room for crates and dog things, so if space to decompress is needed for any dog, they have a comfortable area to relax in. You do not need to bring your dogs own crate, but can bring comfort items for them that smell like home!

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in backyard, dog room with extra crates, water always available, and plenty of enrichment items. Dogs do not receive any chews/kongs/meals when out together, and are never left unattended. We also love to have dogs travel in our vehicle to nearby locations for walks in town and local hikes if your dog is comfortable with car rides. Some of our favorites are Sterling Creek Park and JF Gregory Park.

Information Jessica M. would like to know about your pet

If your dog has any special behavioral or medical needs, or you have any preferences on what activities we enjoy together, please let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Once contacted for a potential booking, I typically schedule a quick phone call to learn more about your dog’s personality and preferences and answer any questions you might have about what your dog’s stay would look like, and then schedule a meet and greet.

A typical day

A typical day in our home begins with potty breaks and breakfast, then either play time at home or a walk either in the neighborhood or local park. Because our walks typically range from 1-3 miles, in the summer we try to keep those to earlier or later times of day. Mid day we typically take a break for the dogs to nap or relax inside. If they need/want a crate break I give a kong or their favorite treat for them to enjoy. Otherwise most dogs curl up on the couch and snooze after the morning’s exercise. We typically do an afternoon/evening walk or outdoor play session depending on energy levels before dinner time. Before bed I will go through any daily needs with your pet and get some extra snuggle time before bed time. I send lots of photo and video updates through the day, and will always call in the event of an emergency.

Ruffin’ It Dog Adventures

Pet care experience

Hey there, and welcome to your dog’s best day ever. Dogs are my passion, and I’d love to get to know yours. I’ve had and cared for a wide variety of dogs my entire life from reactive to athletic to snuggly couch potatoes, big and small. Growing up I always had a dog and have always loved finding ways to fulfill them. I love the outdoors and finding the best spots in town for our next adventure. Pet care with me is centered around family and a well structured play day (and plenty of kisses). Your dog will fall into our routine for the time that they are with us, and enjoy the creature comforts of our home. It is preferred that boarding dogs are crate trained as it provides us with more options, however we understand all dogs are different. I am a stay at home mom to our toddler and three dogs, so boarding or daycare dogs typically are not left alone for long periods of time. We have a fenced in yard for play and potty time, as well as a quiet neighborhood for daily walks. My focus is on your dog getting the most out of their environment. Whether they love fetch, sunbathing, walks, swimming, kong treats, sniffaris in the yard, obedience training, or just want lots of snuggles, I segment our daily routine to allow for 1:1 play, attention, and rest. I typically only take 1-2 clients per day, and prefer to take new clients on days when there are no other boarding/daycare dogs. I prefer to pair repeat clients together based on play style. I do crate/rotate when needed for dogs who need alone time to reset for more playtime or may become overwhelmed. I also do all of our personal dogs’ grooming at home and can add on a bath/blowdry, nail trim, teeth and ear cleaning, and full haircuts for some breeds. I own all professional grade products and equipment. These can be added on to most bookings if you’d like your dog groomed before going home! Pricing is typically $70 for full cut or deshed and $40 for just bath/blowdry. We can discuss your dog’s specific needs when booking other services.

Jessica and her family are amazing! They have become family to us and our dog as well. There is no one that I trust more. I never have to worry for a second when my pup is with her. I know that she will always have Millie’s best interest at heart. If she’s available to book, do yourself a favor and choose her. Your dog will love you for it! 😁

Jessica went above and beyond to take care of our dogs and cats. She came in home 3 times per day and spent a good amount of quality time with our babies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again.
