With 20 years of pet care experience, caring for animals is much more than a job to me. It’s something I genuinely love. I’m also the owner of Kaya’s Friends, my professional pet care business serving families throughout the Treasure Coast. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s personality, routine, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, shy or anxious pets, cats, and pets that require medication or a little extra patience and attention. I’m Pet First Aid and CPR certified, and because I work from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. My goal is simple: I want you to feel confident about who is caring for your pet, and I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home while you’re away. English and Spanish speaking pet parents are welcome!

Schedule
Every pet is different, so the more I know about yours, the better I can make their stay feel familiar and comfortable. Please tell me about their normal routine, feeding schedule, personality, energy level, medications, allergies, favorite activities, sleeping habits, and anything that may help them settle in. I’d also love to know about any fears, anxiety, triggers, or special accommodations they may need. I welcome puppies, seniors, cats, shy or anxious pets, and pets with special care needs. For the safety of all pets in my home, I’m unable to accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. My priority is to understand what makes your pet feel safe and happy so I can provide care that feels as close to home as possible.

Your pet’s stay is built around their normal routine and individual needs. That may include walks, outdoor play, enrichment, cuddle time, quiet time, or adventures to a nearby preserve. Feeding schedules are kept as close to their normal routine as possible. At home, pets have room to relax and enjoy themselves. We have a large fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, plus freedom to move throughout our main indoor living areas. I also have a separate room available for cats or pets that need a quieter, more private space. They’ll also meet Kaya, our sweet and gentle Great Pyrenees. Kaya is independent, easygoing, and very accustomed to sharing her home with visiting dogs. Because I work from home, your pet gets regular attention and companionship throughout the day. Whether they want to play, explore, nap, or stay close by, I adjust their experience to what makes them most comfortable. 🐾

A typical day
I usually take the dogs to a nearby preserve for an outing and excerise! I also spend a lot of time playing outside in our yard with toys!
