Pet care experience

Best for boardings.

I live in penbrook with my fiancé Tanner. We bought our first house together here and have opened up our home to host your pet. About me: I will be returning to office work full time starting Feb 2026. I used to do Rover full time since 2022 and have developed a steady clientele. I've cared for my own dog as early as age 12 and in 2017 I lived with and cared for a senior dog as well as 4 cats. I've worked part time over a previous summer with an ethical dog breeder where I cared for and walked many different types of dogs and learned communication techniques, puppy training, baths, and administering oral medication as well as vaccines. Then I worked for a summer at a dog grooming salon where I gained even more valuable hands on experience. I wish I could continue this passion full time but it no longer is finacially feasible so I'm looking to maintain contact with previous clients and do Rover on the side working with my fiancé as well. Your pet's safety and well being is my number one priority. I have no problem with - giving medication, - administering insuline, - scooping litter, -giving baths, - keeping up with training, -walking your dog no matter the weather so long as they are safe, - giving your pet tons and tons of love and affection, - getting out all of their zoomies.

Whenever I go on vacation my little boy stays with Jessica and I am confident that he is well taken care of. I love the regular photos so I know he is ok. Definitely will let her care for him again in the future.

Jessica and her husband took amazing care of my dog. He's a very shy, weird creature and they made him feel comfortable. She communicated quickly and follow all instructions to keep him happy. I'd recommend her!

Dog Walking • déc. 12, 2025

Jessica did an excellent job walking my dog for a week while I recovered from surgery. She was flexible and super accommodating when I needed to modify our regular schedule for one day. Remy the dog was so excited to see her. I would recommend Jessica to anyone who needs a friendly caregiver for their dog!

My pup stayed with Jessica for a little over two weeks and I couldn’t have been happier on how well he was cared for.

House Sitting • déc. 09, 2025

Jessica has watched our dogs twice now, and they love her! We have extremely attached dogs, and being able to leave them with a reliable sitter they feel comfortable with is such a relief. Our older dog has a bad habit of finding paper to tear up when he’s stressed, but he was the calmest we’ve ever seen him after being away from us for multiple days. Jessica is very communicative and straightforward, we’re beyond grateful to have found someone so reliable and dedicated to the welfare of our pets!

Schedule

I have absolutely loved doing petcare full time for the last 4 years, but unfortunately it's time for me to return to a full time job. I'll no longer be as available or flexible as I used to be and my fiancé Tanner will still be primarily caring for daycares and boardings during the workday hours. We will have extremely limited availablity from now on. We're not ready to say goodbye to our favorite furry friends just yet and we'll see how our availablity changes as time goes on. This may still be a fall-back career if nothing else, nothing to do but take things one day at a time.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in yard that we've built ourselves since we moved in. We don't leave pets in the yard unsupervised. That way we can be sure they do their business and have time to play as well. We also don't crate any pets unless the owner brings their crate themselves. We try to match whatever the pet is most used to in their home environment.

A typical day

Tanner works from home full time and can play with and entertain pets between meetings. I'm on a rotating schedule and will be home half days as well. I'm mostly going to be Tanner's liaison to schedule and coordinate pets he's willing to watch during his workdays.

Be honest and upfront with any behaviors I should know about ahead of time. Food aggression, hoovering, eye contact triggers, adversions to men, or toy aggression should be made clear upfront to avoid incidents. I can handle these behaviors with advanced warning.
