I've taken care of animals since I was a child. Whether my own, family/friends' pets, or animals in a professional setting, I've been around and taken care of a wide variety of animals. I've worked in a veterinary hospital for 3+ years, working alongside veterinary technicians and anesthesiologists, assisting in cases and monitoring pets before and after surgery. I've had years of education on animal anatomy and physiology, as well as schooling in subjects such as cell biology and microbiology. I believe this specific education gives me an enlarged perspective on an individual pet and the ability to monitor their wellbeing. I've worked at a pet store, so I have extensive experience on pet food brands, enrichment techniques, supplemental care, and breed-specific considerations. I take this experience and knowledge at the forefront when caring for any animal. I went to school pursuing a veterinary path before deciding marine biology is more of my particular area of interest. I still carry my love for domestic animals, and as I don't have my furry babies on the island, I'd love to help care for others' pets.
