This never feels like work to me!
Hi! I go by Fox (Rover can't do nicknames, hence Jessica). I've grown up with cats my entire life and began dog sitting in 2015 when my best friend adopted the world's most anxious and scared pup- Bailey. She had been treated very badly before my friend adopted her; she spent a lot of time cowering, she was missing patches of fur, and she was absolutely terrified of going outside. It took patience, time, and love for us to help Bailey get to where she is now: many of those bald patches have fur again she is comfortable in any room of his home, and she's able to (nervously and adorably) enjoy short walks outside! Since helping my best friend with Bailey I became a true dog lover and I have been fortunate enough to pet sit for many friends and relatives. I puppy sat for five months while a friend was sick, I routinely dog sit my friend's 5 year old anxious pup, and I do overnights with my friend's beautiful husky/shepherd mix. I've also spent weeks watching my brother's boxers and his bambi-esque great dane! I would be honored to give your animals the love, attention, play, and care that I give to all of these furry companions in my life!

Jessica was great with Boomer! Boomer loved her stay with her. Jessica is very responsive and communicative. Kept us updated all the time with photos and videos. She took care of her teeth cleaning everyday at our request too! I would highly recommend her and will booker again!
Fox was amazing with Mango and sent great updates and pics throughout my vacation! Mango had an injury prior to his stay, and did a great job following some pretty specific care instructions. So so appreciative of how above and beyond Fox went for him. Thank you again!
Fox is such a kind and responsible person, and was so patient with Mango during his short stay! I had a last minute trip and Fox was very accommodating towards us. Mango unexpectedly had more anxiety and issues than I thought he would, but Fox sent a lot of updates and reassurance that the stay was going alright. I would 100% recommend Fox to anyone :) Thank you! we are so appreciative!
Fox was absolutely amazing with Cooper! Provided regular photos and Cooper came back a very tired and happy boy. I would definitely recommend Fox as a sitter for your pets.
Fox was incredible again with my dog, Nancy. Nancy learned the way to Fox's home and starts getting excited when we are still a few blocks away and then runs through the building to get to Fox's apartment. Nancy is always so happy and tired when I pick her up!
My planned sitter cancelled on me less than a week before my trip, Fox stepped in and eased all my anxieties when it came to caring for Bixer. The updates and absolutely beautiful photos shared throughout the day were sources of relief during a stressful trip. Fox turned what usually is a few days of difficult separation anxiety into a vacation with lovely walks and lots of cuddles for Bixer. I can't express how fortunate I am to have found Fox on short notice.

Schedule
Right now I have a *lot* of flexibility in my schedule. I'm starting school in October and will be in class from 5-9pm, Monday-Friday. Aside from that I'm available!

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, I have plenty of space for anything your animal may need while staying with me. I am comfortable having animals on my furniture (I have a couch cover), but of course will honor whatever preference you have for your animal companion! I am happy to communicate as much or as little as you'd like while your animal is with me- I know lots of people appreciate photos and videos! I live across the street from a park and there is plenty of space to walk, run, and play nearby. I will always keep your pups on a leash! I have experience giving medication to both cats and dogs and am comfortable doing so with your fur babies. I am always happy to accommodate whatever will keep you and your animal companions safest and most comfortable.
A typical day
Really depends on your animal! I personally love being outside and I am always happy to walk or play with dogs as much as they like. I'm also a runner and happy to run with dogs if owners tell me it's safe/encouraged. I love helping mentally stimulate animals with fun toys or activities that tap into their curiosity or hunting instincts. I'm also a big time cuddler and will scratch, pet, and brush your animal as much as they want me to! Otherwise your animal may be lounging as I read, clean, cook, work on an art project, or watch a movie.
