I will let your dog outside and back in again, keep them company for a while (if that's needed), feed/water/walk them. If it's a cat, then make sure they have clean litter, some food and water, and if okay, keep company/play with them for awhile.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs that need to be accounted for. I'm good with both dogs and cats. Have never been around any other animals other than that. (birds, hamsters, etc.)
A typical day
Play games with your animal and go on walks. I've only been in this town for a little over a year so I'm excited to walk around places that I have yet to see around town.

Growing up, I've always had pets whether that be a cat or a dog or sometimes both at the same time. Took care of the neighbor's dogs a few times when they went away too.
