Caring for Your Pet Like My Own
I am an avid animal lover with over 20 years of pet care experience. I am also a middle school teacher who is very attentive, empathetic, caring, responsive and patient. I grew up with 3 dogs, 3 cats, hamsters, birds, fish and a guinea pig. In high school and college, I ran a successful pet care business in Hyde Park, Chicago. Today, I am the adoring dog mom to a beautiful, sweet, and very friendly Golden Retriever (she loves other animals and is wonderful with cats & dogs). I spend my weekends going on long walks with her and playing endless games of fetch. I have taken dog training courses for puppies and service dogs. I am also experienced with puppies and senior dogs, and, until recently, had a special needs cat whom I absolutely adored. I would love to provide your pet the love and high-quality care they deserve!

Jessica was great with our kitties, she spent a lot of time getting to know them, giving them attention and playtime! She was very responsive and dependable, and I appreciate her being available on such short notice. We would definitely like her to come back again!
Highly recommend! Jessica is phenomenal. An overachiever to say the least. She makes my pets feel so, so comfortable like they're her own. It's obvious she cares for my furry children and, also, makes me feel so comfortable. I believe she is a teacher during the day, which may explain her thorough and caring nature when coming over to take care of my guys.

Schedule
I work 8:30-3:30pm very close to home, but am available for early morning, afternoon and evening walks. I am available on weekends. If your dog or cat boards with me, I return home for lunch from 11am-12pm every day.

I approach my clients with the same respect, appreciation, and care that I would want if someone was taking care of my pet. I am kind, contentious, careful, detail-oriented and thoughtful. I love animals and want them to feel engaged, safe, and secure at all times.
Pets
A typical day
I know that pets need to be regularly engaged physically and mentally. This requires mental stimulation, such as, puzzles and fetch. I am very active, and I love running, long walks, and actively playing with pets. It is important to care for the animal’s emotional needs as well. Praise, affirmative language, and consistency is key to supporting a pet to feel safe, secure, and happy.
