Availability
I'm currently between full-time roles, which gives me consistent, reliable availability for walks and drop-ins. I keep a steady daily routine, so recurring bookings work well with my schedule. I'm available weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evenings, and I can often accommodate same-day or last-minute requests.

Safety, trust & environment
Every booking includes GPS-tracked walks, a photo/video update, and a full recap card. I'm background-checked through Rover and take pet safety seriously. From double-checking harnesses and gates before every walk to knowing basic pet first aid. Having a reactive dog of my own means I don't get flustered by barking, lunging, or a dog who needs extra space. I read body language before it becomes a problem, not after. For cats, that means quiet, low-stress visits with no forced handling. If anything ever seems off with your pet, you'll hear from me immediately, not after the fact.
Information Jessica K. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any special needs, triggers, or behaviors so I can plan accordingly, especially for reactive or anxious dogs, where a little context goes a long way. I adjust my approach based on each dog: a senior dog gets a slower pace and extra care around mobility or medication needs, while a puppy or young dog gets more structure and higher energy engagement. For walks, I'm comfortable with small and medium dogs up to 40 lbs. For drop-in visits, I'm open to large dogs too, since there's no leash handling involved. Just not giant breeds (101+ lbs) for either service right now.
A typical day
I love keeping dogs physically and mentally engaged during our time together. For walks, that means a good pace, sniff breaks to explore the neighborhood, and playtime if your dog's up for it. For drop-in visits, I focus on making sure your pet feels calm and comfortable: fresh food and water, a clean space, and quality one-on-one attention on their terms, whether that's a game of fetch or just quiet company.

Calm With Reactive Dogs & All Pups
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Jessica! I share my home with two French Bulldogs, Short Rib and Rump Roast, who've taught me more about patience and body language than any course could. Rump is 9. I've been his caretaker since he was 3 months old, so I'm comfortable with senior dog care, routine medication, and the slower pace older dogs need. Short Rib is a reactive dog I've worked hard to train, so I understand firsthand what it takes to keep a nervous or easily-triggered pup calm and safe: leash tension, trigger stacking, redirection, reading the signals before they escalate. Beyond my own two, I've cared for friends' and family's dogs over the years, including pet-sitting stints. If your dog is reactive, anxious, or needs extra space, I'm genuinely comfortable with that. Because these walks take more planning and closer attention, I'll send a custom quote slightly above my listed rate for these bookings. Just message me with details and I'm happy to talk it through before we book. I treat every dog like my own: calm, attentive, and on their schedule, not mine.

Reviews
I am proud to recommend my daughter as a pet caregiver. She is a devoted dog owner/lover and genuinely cares for their well being. She is an incredibly loving and attentive dog mom who treats her pets as family. In addition to that she is highly responsible and dependable and will take care of all their daily needs. What stands out most about Jessica to me is her love for animals and how patient she is to ensure they are safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend her services and would trust her without hesitation to care for anyone's pet. You can definitely count on Jess!
