About Jessica J.
Safety, trust & environment
The care I give is based on your dog’s needs. I pay close attention to body language, boundaries, and our surroundings. At home, it’s just me and my sweet and fun 22-lb, three-year-old, spayed beagle-dachshund, Lucy. A beautiful backyard makes for very fun (and very supervised) sniff time. Plenty of parks, wooded trails, and dog-friendly Lake Michigan beaches are within walking distance. Estabrook's lovely dog park (and more trails!) is a ten-minute drive away. All people and families are welcome with me, and your home and privacy will always be treated with respect. ❤️
Information Jessica J. would like to know about your pet
Tell me about your dog! What do they LOVE? What makes them nervous? What are their quirks? How do they tell you when they’re happy, uncomfortable, or need something? I’ll also need to know about their food, schedule, routines, meds, allergies, and any reactivity, guarding, fears, or bite/escape history. No judgment — I want to understand your dog so I can make sure I’m the right person to keep them safe and happy, and if I am, how best to do so.
A typical day
What a day looks like depends on your dog's routines, interests, needs, and energy. I’m a big believer in letting dogs sniff, explore, and experience the world, not just get their steps in. Depending on what your dog loves (and what you approve!), that could mean a walk through a park, woodsy romp, beach bonanza, trip to the dog park, sunbathing in the backyard, some serious snuggling, or D) all of the above! It’s all about what makes your dog feel comfortable and cared for, and keeps them healthy and safe. 🥰

Let's give your dog a GREAT day! 🥰
Pet care experience
I’ve joyfully cared for dogs for 15+ years, from puppies to seniors with medications, mobility challenges, and special routines. I used to have my own disabled senior dog, so it’s truly an honor to provide that extra care. ❤️ I know dogs much the way they know us: through years of observation and pattern recognition. I’ve also taken several training courses, including reactive-dog training through OffLeash MKE. I believe dogs are animals just as much as they’re our beloved pets, and I make sure their doggy needs are met with plenty of exercise, stimulation, rest, fun, and love. And yes, expect lots of photos and videos! 😊 🎓 DSHA 🐧 & SMU 🐴 grad
