The best care for your pets!
I've been working at an animal hospital for 20+ years and have been managing the grooming and boarding facility there for 15+ years. I have worked with cats and all ages, temperaments, and breeds of dogs. Besides the professional experience, I have always loved animals, lived with family dogs and cats my entire life, and am well suited for caring for your pets, too! My husband has been a dog dad for 15+ years (and a bird dad as well) and has over a decade of professional experience with dogs in the boarding and grooming section of an animal hospital. Between the two of us, at least one of us is home every day - we would love to provide a home away from home for your pet! Our goal is to provide the most compassionate, safe, and responsible care for your pet. Our house is set back from the road on 100+ acres of conservation land where we can hike and explore with your dog. Our house is roomy and comfortable, and we strive to provide whatever your dog needs. We also value enrichment for pets - we hope your dog will learn, grow, and be stimulated while with us. We also live right next door to my father, who is a veterinarian and available for any questions we might have. We have a new addition to our family and welcomed in a baby boy in June 2025. Since then, we are accepting new clients with smaller dogs and sometimes larger dogs if they are older or laid back. We do have a soft spot for our older guests and love to keep them comfortable and pampered. We live in a one story house, so there are minimal steps.

Our dog has stayed with Jessica and Ian several times and is always treated like family there. We have been more than pleased and would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing good pet care in Newtown.
As always it’s a perfect day for our pet when they stay with Ian and Jessica. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
Jessica and Ian were terrific! We went away to a family wedding and I was so nervous leaving my 17 year old Bo. When interviewing them I told them about Bo being elderly with walking issues and other elderly ailments, and they assured me that they had no problem, loved elderly dogs, and would take great care of him. Well they were right!! He settled right in and looked so happy in the pics they sent. And he was fine and relaxed when we picked him up.

Jessica watched our two English Cocker Spaniels for three nights and both little guys came back to us healthy, happy and tired! We have family that watch our boys for us, but on this occasion all family members were attending the same wedding. My husband and I were very grateful that Jess was able to care for them this weekend. Jess is sweet and gentle and the pups really seemed to take to her. The fact that Jessica's Dad is a veterinarian who lives very close by, was an added bonus for peace of mind.
Jessica took wonderful loving care of our little labradoodle. Would use her again in a second!

Sécurité, confiance et environnement
We have a small fenced in area outside our front door, mostly for safety in coming in and out of the house. Outside of that area, I leash walk your dogs (until we have a larger fenced in area). We have gates inside to give dogs their own space if/when they want it. If you pet is more comfortable in a crate during bedtimes or short times alone, we can provide that as well. We are diligent regarding medication, feeding instructions, and medical concerns. We also will keep you up to date on how the stay is going and welcome you to reach out anytime.

Our house is right next to 100+ acres of conserved land and our favorite thing to do with dogs is going for hikes on trails through the fields and forest - we hope your pet will join us! Of course we also love more laid back activities, like cuddling on the couch, hanging out in the yard, or "treats and tricks" training time. If your pet has any activities they specifically enjoy, let us know!!
