Pet care experience

Experienced Care, Happy Pets

I’ve spent much of my career in the animal health industry and have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, from energetic youngsters to seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience administering medications to both dogs and cats, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following established medication schedules and detailed care instructions. As a pet parent myself, I know that every animal has their own personality, routine, and quirks. I’m comfortable with shy or anxious pets, senior animals, and pets who simply need a little extra time to warm up. For dogs staying in my home, I work from home and am there most of the day, allowing for frequent potty breaks, plenty of attention, and lots of company. I intentionally keep boarding small-scale so your dog can feel like part of the household rather than one of many pets in a busy boarding environment. Most importantly, I want you to feel as comfortable while you're away as your pet does with me. You can expect reliable communication, photos, and updates so you always know how they're doing.

Schedule

I work from home, which gives me lots of flexibility for pets staying in my home. For drop-in visits, I’m generally available mornings through 10 AM, with limited weekday afternoon availability around 3 PM and more flexibility on weekends. I’ll always confirm timing with you before booking so we can make sure your pet’s routine and needs are a good fit.

Safety, trust & environment

Keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible is my priority. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, potty breaks, and household routines carefully. For dogs staying with me, I have a fenced backyard and work from home, so they’ll have plenty of supervision, frequent potty breaks, and lots of company throughout the day. I also have pets of my own, so meet-and-greets are important to make sure everyone will be comfortable together.

Pets

A typical day

For dogs staying with me, the day is tailored to their normal routine and energy level. We can take walks around the neighborhood, spend time exploring my fenced backyard (complete with a dog pool in the summer!), play with interactive toys, or simply relax and snuggle. Since I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day, along with frequent opportunities for potty and play breaks. My goal is for their stay to feel more like a visit to a friend’s house than a traditional boarding experience.

I’d love to know about your pet’s personality, normal routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medications, and any medical or behavioral needs. Please let me know about any anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, escape tendencies, or other quirks that will help me keep your pet happy and safe. For boarding, it’s especially important that I know how your dog does with other dogs and cats, whether they are reliably house-trained, and how they typically behave when left alone for short periods. I prefer a meet-and-greet before the first stay so we can make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit for both your dog and my household. The more I know about your pet, the better I can make their time with me feel like home!
