Availability

I work remotely from home Monday-Friday as a Pricing Analyst for an international logistics company. If I'm not home, it's only for a few hours at a time. I like to go for runs outside so if the dog likes to run and is good on leash, I can walk/run him 1-5 miles most days if weather permits me to do so.

Information Jessica G. would like to know about your pet

My non negotiable: I will not take a dog who is not house trained or has separation anxiety. House trained for me means that if i leave the dog for up to 4 hours, I will not come home to a ravaged home. House trained means being able to trust that your dog will not break a window screen (or two), knock the trash down for a second dinner, and/or disturb my apartment building neighbors with crying. These things are all things that have happened to me and this is why I take preference for dogs who are crate trained, and if not crate trained must be house trained. I will ask for proof of current vaccinations before the start of the boarding if wanting to move forward with booking me. I will also ask if there are any medical health conditions that I should know about (seizures, etc).

A typical day

A typical weekday with me is waking up around 6-7AM and taking out the dog for a potty break. For healthy, active, and good on leash dogs, the morning walk is when I would walk/run 1-5 miles with them. We'd go back home and I'd start work and dogs are free to nap, play, hang out.

Pet care experience

ABOUT ME: I am from southern California. I currently live in a house in East Berne with 7 acres with my fiance and my parents and their dog live with us as well. My fiance Codi and my parents love the dog guests just as much as I do. We have aquarium fish and chickens in our 7 acres. My family raised me with dogs (Boxers and Labradors) but once I moved out I never got a dog of my own. I started Rover dog sitting in California when I started working remotely in 2018, then in Alaska, and now I’m here in upstate New York. I’m currently unable to take high energy dogs because of limited indoor and outdoor space but am open to boarding high energy dogs if well trained, and crate or house trained. I also only take one dog or cat at a time. I have experience with administering meds (orally, by injection, and ophthalmic). Rover dog sitting is not my full time gig, I have a full time work from home salary job as a Pricing Analyst for a logistics company headquartered in Florida. DOG BOARDING/DOGGY DAYCARE: Only open to taking in 100% potty trained dogs and understand that accidents happen so please let me know of your pets' potty habits. Dog(s) have free roam of the house but are not allowed on furniture or my bed. I work remotely from home so am able to keep the dog(s) company during the day and usually have their bed/blanket out in the living room around me and then move their bed/blanket over to my bedroom floor at night for bed. Sometimes I may go for a 30 minutes-2 hours walk/run/hike and don't mind bringing the dog(s) along if they like to walk/run. I ask that all dogs are up to date with vaccinations and will ask for proof of vaccinations. I bring dog(s) out to potty first thing in the morning, before bed, before I step out of the house, when I get back home, whenever a dog starts sniffing the floor, after they have a meal, and in 1-2 hour intervals if I'm home. I understand accidents happen but if a dog still marks or has an accident indoors even after bringing him/her out to potty 6-12 times a day, he/she probably isn't 100% potty trained and I'll have to charge a one time $50 cleaning fee if there's more than 2 accidents inside. PLEASE ONLY DOGS WHO ARE CRATE OR HOUSE TRAINED. House trained for me means that if i leave the dog for up to 4 hours, I will not come home to a ravaged home. House trained means being able to trust that your dog will not break a window screen (or two), knock the trash down for a second meal, and/or disturb my apartment building neighbors with crying. These things are all real things that have happened to me while dog sitting and while one owner may think these are normal things for them, 24/7 HOUR CARE IS NOT COVERED IN MY BOARDING RATE. BOARDING RATE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF YOUR DOG DESTROYS MY HOME. PLEASE NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS: I in no way want to be responsible for dogs that growl, snarl, and bare their teeth at anyone (including me) that's not their owners even if your dog a small dog. CAT BOARDING: Open to potty trained cats, must bring litter box as I do not have my own.

Jessica took very good care of our dog, Wrigley. She sent us a picture of him everyday while we were on vacation. He appeared to be happy, relaxed, and comfortable. We definitely recommend Jessica for anyone needing dog sitting or boarding.
