Jess mentioned during the planning process that she forgot about certain dates that she needed to change times for. She also messaged me while I was away one night that she lost track of time and was late going to feed my cat. Forgetfulness/not having accurate availability isn’t ideal for someone I am trusting to come and take care of my cat. And, unfortunately when I got home from my trip, my front door was unlocked, and lights were left on. Jess had the key to be able to lock my door when she left after each visit. I expect Rover sitters to lock the door behind them and turn lights off when they leave, that is unacceptable and makes me very worried that she had been leaving the door unlocked every time she was in my home, twice a day for five days. She also left my spare key that she was using under my front doormat, when we had talked about either meeting up to exchange the key, or for her to leave the key with my apartment front office. Before I left on my trip, we said we would coordinate about the key exchange, but she decided to leave them under the front doormat without even telling me until I addressed the unlocked door several hours after her last visit. This is not a situation I wanted to come home to. Otherwise my cat seems to have been taken care of, which is obviously important, but I do not want to have to worry about my apartment getting entered and my cat/other items at risk of being taken from my home while I’m gone. I’m very uneasy.

Jessica was so great. She was communicative about how Ruta my cat was doing while I was away and took such good care of her and my place. I will definitely be reaching out again.

Jessica was so sweet with our little Penny. She took her on multiple walks and made her feel so comfortable. Plus, she left our house spotless!
