I grew up in upstate New York, where many of my neighbors migrated south for the winter. From a young age, I became the neighborhood’s go-to pet sitter, caring for everything from dogs and cats to fish and lizards. Today, animal care is my full-time career—not just a side job. Over the past three years, I’ve expanded my experience beyond traditional pets and have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, lizards, chickens, geese, sheep, goats, and even an emu. I’ve also worked with dogs of every size, from tiny toy breeds to giant breeds like Great Danes. My long-term goal is to become a certified professional dog trainer, so every dog I care for helps me become a better handler, communicator, and advocate for dogs. I am actively working on this certification and should be completed by the end of this year. Studying canine behavior helps me provide a calmer, safer, and more enriching experience for every dog in my care. I share my home with my cats, who are comfortable around respectful dogs and other cats. Because of this, the safety and well-being of every animal in my care is extremely important to me.
