Hi there! My name is Jess and I love animals of all kinds. So much so that I owned a pet service company, Alvin n' Pals, prior to moving to Invermere, BC. After returning to my marketing roots for several years and eventually making the move back to Calgary, I have decided it’s time to return to what I truly love. I am relaunching Alvin n’ Pals with a renewed focus and momentum with a deep commitment to reliable, compassionate care. Being raised with three dogs and a semi-feral cat, I developed a love for animals at a young age. I am a pet mom to a wonderfully goofy German Shepard / Collie mix, Alvin, and a handsome grey tabby cat, Jax. I live in a single family home with a large semi-fenced yard in the community of Ogden. We are minutes away from off-leash parks, the Bow River Pathway and a ton of great community walking paths. I am home full-time allowing supervised days and lots of love & exercise for your pets! I have experience working with animals of all ages from young puppies & kittens to senior animals with medical needs. I am happy to personalize my services to best suit you and your pup. We want you to have a worry-free vacation while knowing your animal(s) are having a great stay-cation. I offer meet & greets to ensure it is a fit and to better discuss your animals as well as any special needs or requirements. I'd love to meet you & your four legged family members!

We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with a Rover sitter! This was our first time leaving Belle with someone outside of family, so we were understandably a little nervous. From the very beginning, we felt comfortable and confident that she was in great hands. It was such a relief knowing she was being well cared for, and we really appreciated the updates while we were away. Most importantly, she came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our girl and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!

Jessica and Alvin were amazing!! She sent great photo updates throughout the day and brought our dogs on a nice long walk adventure, dropping them off to us happy and tuckered out. We will definitely be booking with her again, highly recommend:)
Jessica was amazing with Juni! She took her on lots of walks and sent us daily updates and photos throughout our trip, which we absolutely loved. It was so reassuring to see Juni happy and well cared for while we were away. We wouldn't hesitate to book with Jessica again — highly recommend!

I have a large, reactive dog, and Jessica did great with him! She is calm and learned his mannerisms quickly. She is pleasant to deal with, and quick to respond to requests.

Schedule
Pet care is my full-time gig, and I love it that way! My schedule is built around the pets I care for, giving me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and one-on-one care.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether it be a drop in visit, a walk, or a sleepover, I care for your pets as if they are my own. The comfort of your pet is my top priority and I do my best to meet them wherever they are at. This can include endless cuddles, space for the more reserved pets, or a good mix of attention and space! I ensure that they feel not only comfortable with me, but within the enviroment as well. For boarding guests, that includes keeping them to their normal schedule including feed and walk times, and being home the majority of the time they are staying with us. We also have lots of toys and sleeping spots to choose from!
Pets
A typical day
We guarantee 1 - 2 hours of exercise daily depending on your dogs needs. This will vary with on-leash walks and off-leash park. They will of course have lots of playtime with their new pal, Alvin, as well as lots of human interaction with games of fetch, Frisbee, tug-of-war and snuggles.
