Hi! I’m Jessica and my husband is Joseph. We have lived in Crestwood North near The Filling Station for 3 1/2 years now. It’s a very dog friendly neighborhood and we love it here. We work together to watch and care for your pup or cat as we would our own. Being a team is pretty awesome since we can ensure your babies are very rarely left crated or alone. We keep a pretty steady routine 7am/7pm feeding schedule with our gals, so we are always up early to great you for drop offs or ready to come to your home for walks, drop ins, or house stays. We’d love to meet you and care for your pet! Meet and greet isn’t required and completely at your comfort level. We have house pet sat for some that we’ve never met in person. Drop offs in our home you are welcome to come in and meet all pets and see the yard where your pup would play. I volunteer at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society and have lots of experience with different breeds and handling. My husband and I have 3 dogs, Maki (Brindle Belgian Malinois mix) & Turbo (American Staffordshire Terrier/Black Lab mix) who are sweet, goofy, smart babies. We also have CeeCee (Longhair Chiweenie). Totally spoiled! Many of the pet pics are with my husband, Joe, bc I never get good ones of myself apparently ha. I have been trusted to pet sit by friends, neighbors, and relatives many many times over the years. Several of the photos up are of foster pups and of some I’ve rescued. Some of my skills include potty training, social training, aggression correction with puppies, recognizing early illness symptoms and care. I’m trained to watch, recommend and act when medical treatment is needed. I also have experience administering oral, topical, and injectable medications with dogs and cats. I live in a neighborhood perfect for walking your pup. I also enjoy occasional hikes on the trails at ruffner mountain. I offer cuddles and companionship for the pup or kitty that prefers laps and affection over walks or hikes. I don’t mind sitting at my home or yours.

**Outstanding Pet Sitter!** I can’t say enough great things about Jessica and her husband! From start to finish, they were absolutely accommodating. They took such wonderful care of my 2 fur babies while we were away—sending regular updates, adorable photos, and making sure every little detail we gave them was handled perfectly. It was clear that they genuinely love animals and treats them like their own. When we came to pick them up, my babies were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I stay home and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to give a lot of attention to your pet and accommodate most plans!

Safety, trust & environment
Respect to pets in their home is always given on my part. It’s your pets home and they should always feel safe! I will listen to the guidelines you give me and do my absolute best to be a trusted safe space person to your pet. I’ll spend as much time as your pet needs! I have a fenced back yard and two friendly pups that love to play. I also have indoor crates for mine and guests to be safely separated.

A typical day
Basically, I have the dream job of being a stay at home dog mom while sitting and walking for others as well! Routine defers when coming to your home depending on your needs and activity level your pet enjoys. I like to keep things comfortable for your pet and the routine they are used to if possible. We can schedule around best times for feeding, walking, meds, playtime. I don’t mind cleaning pet areas, bringing in mail/packages, putting out garbage if needed! For a day at my home: After first thing morning potty break in our fenced backyard we have 7am/7pm feeding schedule and back to play in the yard if weather permits. I always stay alert about the weather/temperature and adjust yard time accordingly. My pups have to be lured in sometimes with treats or pup cups bc they love outside even when it’s too hot. We have indoor and outdoor toys (mine love balls and plushies) a couple of puzzle games, and we watch dog tv while I get chores done. I’ve had some small guests that like to be carried around 💕 and I love that too. I crate all pets if unattended, but my goal is only if I leave the house or at bedtime. I never leave pet’s unattended together just to be safe. I like to find a good time in the morning and evening for a leash walk around the neighborhood or trip to Crestwood park. It’s a beautiful area and very dog friendly with safe sidewalks. I like to teach tricks or work on commands being learned for those that seem interested!
