A typical day
Depending on the pet's personality, I will ensure that they get the play time and attention they need/want. If it's an energetic dog, we'll take a longer walk or play fetch as long as it takes for one of us to get tired.

Pet care experience
I've had pets almost my entire life. I grew up with a household of shiba inus that had multiple litters, so I was exposed to puppies at a young age. When I started living on my own, I had my own dog that I adopted at 6 months old and my beautiful furry companion passed at 15 years old. I've also had numerous cats and can attest to how each animal having distinct personalities. I currently have a dog and two cats that get along and I understand how valuable and important finding the right person to care of your fur babies is.

When I go out of town for long periods of time, Jessica is the first person I think of to watch my four cat fur babies! Although my cats typically hide from guests in our home, they come out running, meowing, and purring for Jessica. She must be a cat whisperer. She has a gentle and calm demeanor that is needed for animals. She always makes sure the kitties have water, food, and extra cuddles.
Jessica dropped by to feed and hang out with my two adult cats when I was away on a work trip. I had met Jessica through a mutual friend and they had mentioned she loved cats and thought to reach out to help me in a pinch. She was so great with my cats - fed them both, cleaned up their food area (my boy cat is a MESSY eater), spent time playing with them, and even hung out on the couch with my girl cat who loved just perching on the couch cushions. I didn't ask her to do this, but Jessica even cleaned and tidied up their litter box! Caring for cats was not just a favor or task for Jessica, but she truly enjoyed meeting them, hanging out with them, and took genuine care of them. I reach out to Jessica every once in a while for help when in these work pinches and have had peace of mind that my cats are taken care of when she's there.
