Hello, my name is Jessica and Welcome to Lake Forest Bark! My partner Brian and I have been pet owners for the last 30+ years. We both love dogs and sharing our home with them. We have hosted dogs through Rover and before that, Dog Vacay for over 15 years. I work from home so dogs are rarely left unattended for more than a few hours at a time. We have about 1/3 acre which is fenced and wooded. Plenty of room to roam and lots of squirrels and birds to chase. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and stay indoors while we are away. We have access to parks and walks are always 'on the house'. We have two resident dogs, Finn, a Pekingese and Marky, an Affenpinscher. Finn is a typical Pekingese, calm, independent, majestic and plays well but not very active for any length of time. He loves meeting new friends though and is our official Lake Forest Bark Ambassador and Walmart Greeter. Marky is a little over two years old and loves to PARTAYY!! He’s 11 pounds of pure play and will play with guests for hours. He even gets the shy ones out of their shell. We host small to calm, medium-sized breeds but would welcome large dogs provided that they are older or otherwise gentle and calm. I can also pick up and drop off at your home for an added fee which is negotiable depending on distance. We look forward to caring for your buddy like they were our own. Jessica has a fantastic backyard. Plenty of space for the pups to run and play. Scout was instantly welcomed by Jessica’s friendly dogs and forgot I was even there. I received updates and videos during her stay and it was clear she was enjoying herself. We will be reaching out to Jessica next time we need a dog sitter.
Jessica is always great! My dog, Dakota, enjoys spending time with her and her dogs! You can trust her to take care of your pup as if they’re one of her own.
Jessica was great! It was really wonderful to not have a worry about my 2 puppies for my daughter's wedding weekend. My puppies were well cared for and had a wonderful time playing with the resident dogs too! Thank you Jessica!!!
My dog loved staying with Jessica so much that she didn’t want to leave! I adopted her not too long ago and I think the socialization with her dogs, Fin and Marky did her a world of good l. It was like doggy summer camp! Jessica is responsive and has a ton of experience. Would 110% have Pop stay with them again!!
Jessica's yard is heaven for a Beagle. It's large and abundantly covered with a huge variety of things to sniff. Shady places to rest when he needed to take a break. Her dogs were friendly but let him just sleep when he wanted to. (he's 11). Jessica was great about following up on my questions. It was a short visit but we will book again.
Great people and awesome communication. Was very flexible when I had to book last minute. Cute dogs all around with plenty of yard space to run. Hoku came back tired from all the playtime!

Schedule
I work from home, so plenty of potty breaks and attention. Bedtime is usually around 10 pm and up by 7. Dogs get fed twice a day.

Large fenced yard, resident dog to keep them company. They are welcome on the furniture. If they need to be crated then I'm happy to continue your routine so as not too disrupt their training.
