Large Yard with Safety a Priority
I've been on Rover for the last few years as a 5-star dog sitter! I am a stay-at-home mother with a new baby and a 2 year old. We are quite picky in which dogs we take because we have very young kids in our household, but we are open to all well-behaved, well-socialized dogs! As a stay-at-home mother I am home with the kids for the most part of the day, so we can make sure your pup doesn't get into too much trouble! Our yard is essentially a dog park of well-socialized dogs, as we do have a lot of repeat customers that we are very familiar with. We generally do not like to take more than one new dog at a time, just to make sure that we don't have too many unknown variables going on at once. We are very big on safety and will take every precaution to keep your pup safe, healthy, and happy! This includes having a security camera at home so that I can keep an eye on the pups even when I leave the house for short periods of time, as well as placing our own ID tags and GPS trackers (we use the Fi-Collar) on the dogs. We are also very experienced in introducing dogs into the pack, making sure feeding time is safe with dogs being physically separated, and making sure that even when we leave the house, the dogs stay safe. We have a doggy door, so your (house-trained) dog will have full reign over the backyard and most of our first floor. So whether your dog likes being around people, romping around in the yard, or chasing balls, our home should fit your dog quite well!

Jessica and her family were great with our dogs Harpo and Marty. She made me feel at ease with plenty of pictures and updates. It was hard to be away from my babies but I knew they would get plenty of love and be safe with Jessica. I would highly recommend her. She was very mindful of behavior and creature comforts for our babies. Another plus is that she meets the dogs to make sure they are a good fit. I appreciate that attention to detail. Jessica and her family and her sweet dog Athena were the best hosts for my little Tara! Tara is a rescue and needs to be given space to feel safe. I was amazed at how quickly Tara got comfortable with Jessica and her family! All her pictures of comfortably smiling and relaxed body language made me feel so much at ease as I traveled for work. Jessica was amazing at sharing updates and pictures every day with me and allowing both me and my dog to have peace of mind while I traveled. Tara was actually sad when I took her back home with me and is still missing all her friends the next day! I highly recommend Jessica for anyone looking for a responsible, informed and intuitive dog sitter! I look forward to booking a stay with Jessica again soon! Thank you Jessica and family!!
Breaks my heart to leave a bad review, but it’s important for other owners to know facts. I booked through Jessica because her bio states “safety first’” and takes only “one dog at a time” to eliminate other “variables.” I had a meet and greet with Jessica and her dog and my dog, Bily got along great with them. On the day of drop off, I left Bily with Jessica and her family. Three hours later, she was bit by a third dog that I didn’t know would be there. That third dog was another dog she was caring for at the same time as mine. Two hours later, my dog was in surgery and forty stitches later she was done. Such a nightmare. For the record, Jessica took responsibility and took Bily to the vet. I was also refunded, which is the least they should do anyway. Jessica and her husband are super nice people… but it’s really beyond the point. If they’re preaching safety first, what should happen if my dog needed more than forty stitches. What if something worse happened? How if my dog died there because of violence? This is a factual review… cannot be debated. It’s just important that other owners know this happened. I couldn’t take that chance.

A typical day
Our home is basically a dogpark filled with very well socialized dogs. The dogs usually keep themselves active playing with each other, or else chasing the balls and toys that we throw throughout the day. Dogs that require extra exercise we are more than happy to walk at the beginning/end of the day to drain whatever energy they have left. We do not take our dogs to dog parks or dog beaches, as we know that not all the dogs in public places are friendly and we do not want to expose your dog to them, just in case. We are very serious about doing everything we can to ensure your dog returns to you healthy and happy!
