Jessica can host
Availability
Monday - Friday I work from home full-time for an animal welfare nonprofit called Best Friends Animal Society. My schedule is super flexible, but I do spend a lot of time on the phone and in Zoom meetings. Because of this, I cannot host dogs that are "extreme" barkers. My husband also works from home full time, so your pup will never be alone during the week.

In our house, your pup will be loved like our own. Plenty of walks, pets, and snuggles! If you have any particular rules you need me to stick to, please let me know ahead of time and we will follow them.

Information Jessica B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know of any medications your dog takes ahead of time. I also like to be aware of any unique behaviors they have (ex: does not like kids, is a table surfer, scared of thunder, skittish around big dogs, will chase rabbits, etc.). I appreciate it when owners write out a detailed description of their pet's schedule so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible while they are here!
A typical day
We take walks twice a day (morning and evening) with multiple potty breaks mixed in and plenty of time spent in the sunshine on our back deck. We do not have a fenced-in backyard, but our deck has a gate that allows us to hang out outside in the sun off-leash. Our terrier is a great companion for the dogs that we host. He is very low-key. We typically only take dogs under 50lbs because he gets along best with dogs his size or smaller.

Pet care experience
Hello! I’m Jess. I grew up in Charlotte and currently live in Ballantyne. Growing up, I had a chocolate Lab and pet-sit all sorts of animals until the time I left for college. In 2017, I adopted my current dog, Pablo, who is my everything! He is a 8 year-old terrier mix. My husband and I do not have children, so dogs have 100% of our attention. As a dog owner, and Rover user, I know how hard it can be to leave your pup when you go out of town. That’s why I joined Rover as a sitter! I’m here to care for your dog just like you would :) **Please note that we require a Meet and Greet before accepting new bookings to make sure our dogs get along**
Reviews

Our dog Peanut really enjoyed her stay with Jess, Dan and Pablo. Peanut is an older dog with multiple meds and diet restrictions, but they handled it well. Also, Peanut doesn’t always eat well, especially in stressful environments, but she ate every meal for them. Jess was good about communicating and sending both pictures and videos. That really helped us feel at ease on our vacation.

Chewy felt right at home at Jessica’s house. They sent us great pictures to let us know he was being taken care of. Definitely will keep them on the A list!!

Jessica is basically Alex's dog godmother now ❤️ I couldn't ask for a sweeter and more caring family to leave my best friend with.

Jessica is the best. She's basically Alex's bonus mom now. I know he's happy and right at home with them. I never have to worry when we're away. She sends the best pictures and updates. Communication is always great and you can tell they really care.
