If your pet has any special needs, routines, sensitivities, or quirks I should know about, please feel free to share them. This can include feeding schedules, medication, mobility considerations, emotional needs, preferred play styles, or anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. I do best with pets who are gentle, steady, and non-aggressive. Dogs don’t need to be people-oriented, if they are quiet, independent, reserved, or even energetic - pups are all welcome. Cats who are social, curious, or prefer their own space are equally welcome and will received the appropriate level of companionship. However, if your pets have a history of aggression, extreme behaviours, or require specialized equipment like a full-face muzzle, I may not be the right fit.

Each day is shaped by your pet’s temperament - some enjoy longer walks and active moments, while others prefer cozy rest and soft connection. I maintain routines, provide attentive care, and move through the day in a calm, steady way that helps them feel at ease.

I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments (please see the special note for dog owners below). My goal is to make sure every pet in my care feels loved, supported, and at home. I adore cats, and I connect with them easily. I have a gentle demeanour and naturally attune to each cat’s energy and engagement level. I can provide play, quiet companionship, or calm presence depending on what your cat prefers. With dogs, I know how to keep them active, happy, and secure - whether that means long walks, playtime, structured routines, or relaxed downtime. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and supporting them in a way that feels natural and comforting. Dog owners - please note that I am not available to care for dogs with a history of aggression or extreme behaviours, or any dogs that require a full-face muzzle. Thank you for understanding! I can administer oral or topical medications, follow your feeding or training routines, and provide the level of care and attention your pet needs to feel grounded and cared for.

Jessica sat for a long term stay at our home on Salt Spring Island to care for our dog and two wild cats. She was a wonderful presence from start to finish!
