I work remotely from home and have a fenced in backyard so your dog gets my attention throughout the day and will get to play outside with my dogs Louie and Lucky! 😊 I’ve had pets all my life, mostly cats and dogs. I’ve had an innate love and desire to care for animals since I was a child, leading me to want to become a vet and do job shadowing at my local vet clinic before ultimately going elsewhere career-wise. In replace of making it a career, I have filled my life with pets through other avenues, including volunteering at my local shelter in high school and in Grand Forks at Journey Home Animal Rescue where I walked, played with, and took care of dogs while they waited to be fostered. I have personally owned my two kitties Bentley and Blue for over 7 years. My wife and I added our lovable and energetic Aussiedoodle Louie to our family around 4 years ago. We raised him from a puppy so I know all the ins and outs of puppy-hood. I personally taught him most of the commands that he knows and we took him to training when he was a puppy and still do training now to further our bond with him and understand him more. We recently added Lucky to our family by adopting him from Journey Home where I used to volunteer. I love to create a connection with whatever animal I am taking care of and want them to feel as loved and adored as possible. I usually create a very strong and immediate bond with dogs I have taken care of or interacted with, even with dogs who I have been told don’t like men. I try to meet them where they are at comfort wise and make them feel as safe and understood as possible. To stimulate and challenge my pets, we emphasize using puzzles for feeding time to mentally enrich them, cats included as they are very smart as well and I have even trained Blue to sit and shake. I can do all the necessary things to care for your pet, whether it be bathing, brushing, doing obedience training, play time with various toys, or cuddle time if they want to relax. I want their time with me to be something that brings them joy and happiness as they are away from their owners and I do this by treating them as they are my own. I would want the same in return from a sitter and I therefor hold myself to an extremely high standard. I am more than happy to take pictures and videos throughout the day and send them to you and I have my phone on me at all times so communication with me is easy and I want to make sure you are at ease.
